Wow, good find! I'm about to get on that! I used to live in northern Kentucky, so I won't feel so bad about taking the "join the ACC" route. :ppp

Really? What were their reasons for denial?

Interesting, they have a very generic interface. I filled it out and got only an application number.

It's weird I didn't get an approval answer, not even a "we'll let you know."

Application Submit

Your application has been submitted.

I also wasn't asked to join any organization via that application.

You won't be asked to join right off the bat, but unless you live in one of the surrounding counties of Fort Knox you'll have to join the ACC in order to be able to join the credit union. I got my confirmation email back within a couple hours but my Visa app is still pending. Hopefully they have Saturday hours and I'll get a decision tomorrow.

Something along the lines of insufficient income. Not really sure why because I have never been denied a credit card for any reason. I have gotten every card I applied for without having to make any calls for reconsideration or anything, and every card I was approved for had a starting credit limit of over $4000.

I called and asked, and the CSR did not tell me much, except they requested a copy of my license, social security card, and paystub. I scanned those and emailed them over, and they said they cannot (as in are not allowed to) open the attachment for some reason, and asked me to fax it over. At which point I just told them to permanently delete my email with the attachment, and applied for Penfed's gas card.

And if you look at my signature you'll notice that I went application-happy in late spring/early summer. Every card from Penfed and later are after I was denied for FKFCU, so it's not because I had too many inquiries.

Wow, so you got all those cards AFTER the fkfcu app? Well that rules out my next guess... It would have made sense if they said something along the lines of insufficient income in relation to available credit, or even just too many recently opened tradelines, but that's just weird.
