I like surprises like this!

Postby andy1088 » Sun Apr 22, 2012 8:19 am

So, I went into my Discover account just to check some stuff and then I see my available credit line is $1,500 instead of $1,000! This is my first ever random credit line increase, I'm so excited! This is another reason why Discover is my favorite card I don't get why everyone says their credit lines stink I think they're the best for me at least! :money: :D
My cards
Chase-Sapphire-$5,000 Freedom-$3,000, Amazon rewards-$700, Slate-$600
Citi- Diamond Preferred-$4,000, Thank you-$2,500
Discover IT-$2,500
Bank of America cash rewards-$2,000
Capital one newcomer rewards-$500

I usually don't see "Discover" and "favorite" in the same sentence.

I think Discover gets a bad rep for no reason. Yes, they're not as widely accepted as visa or mastercard however most places I shop take it. I also think spending 3K to get back 1% and only being able to redeem $50 sucks, but at least for me they gave me the best credit line. I also like how they gave me a $500 increase without notice it's always nice to get little surprises like that.

Very nice! I'm thinking about applying for Discover more as well, but just applied for Fort Knox FCU to get their 5% cash back. I'm not a big fan of rotating categories. I'd rather have a cash back card with a set % as a foundation before getting rotating reward cards.

I'm also picky about what cards look like, and I have to say I'm not a fan of Discover designs. The only one I like is the "Black Glow" but I'm afraid it'll just look like a matte gray card in person :(

For travel & dining: Chase Sapphire Preferred
