My Chase credit card cash advance didn't work!

Postby Cappycorn » Sat Apr 21, 2012 7:46 pm

Just recently I used my Chase credit card for a cash advance to help pay my mortgage payment. Chase did not let it go through because they said they suspected fraud since it wasn't my usually spending habits.

They never called me to let me know if it was okay or not.

Unfortunately my payment was late and now have a ding on my credit report. Any suggestions from anyone that can help would be greatly appreciated. I will try and talk to the bank manager about it. But I have heard that banks don't like to hear from their regulators so I might just file a complaint to them if the manager fails to help me.

Thanks ahead of time for any similar stories and how to resolve.

It was your job to verify that the payment was processed on time. While unfortunate, I recommend calling in to make your cash advance. Or to avoid the cash advance interest levels, make the payment directly on your credit card rather than as a cash advance.

Try to do it as a balance transfer if possible to avoid the cash advance APR.
