Sapphire Preferred - should I call the reconsideration line?

Postby jeannie » Tue Apr 03, 2012 8:30 pm

Hi guys,

Just applied for Chase Sapphire Preferred, have gotten the message:

Thank you for applying. Your application requires further review before we make a decision.

Here is what you can expect:

Our goal is to notify you in writing within 10 days; however, in some circumstances it may take up to 30 days. If you are approved, you will receive your card and other important information in the mail.

Please do not resubmit this application

Does it seem more like I was denied? Should I call Chase's reconsideration department NOW, or should I wait before the response arrives?

Take JCarter's advice. Call now. There is no downside and if you can find out earlier, you might prevent another inquiry from being run.
