Rate my card profile/bio, suggestions?

If you could, please give me some feedback on my credit cards and how I use them. But first, about me.

26 years old. Had 2 BofA credit dards for 7 years, but closed them both due to absolutely hating BofA. No balances on either.

Currently I have:

  • Chase Freedom Visa (5000 CL): used for 5% rotating categories
  • Amazon Rewards Visa (2500 CL): used for everyday spending (2% gas, 2% restaurants, 1% other)
  • Target Red Card (500 CL): I shop a lot at target and like the 5% discount
  • Citi Diamond Preferred Mastercard (3000 CL): Emergency only, no interest for 18 months.
I have acquired all 4 of these cards during the month of Feb 2012, So while it dinged my credit score in the short term, in the long term my open account length will be high. My monthly utilization of these cards is around 10-15% and the balances are always auto paid in full.

I like the amazon over the Amex Blue Cash Everyday because

  1. I don't grocery shop (work in a restaurant, and eat out more than grocery shop)
  2. I had an Amex premier rewards gold card from January-March but I just cancelled it due to it not being accepted in 100% of the places I shop, the eventual $175 annual fee is outrageous for me to spend my own money, and I did not like the sub $.01 reward point value I found on many occasions.
How am I doing here? I have 4 credit cards, designed to overall give me cash back on my everyday spending without becoming too complex to think about and track. (I like that chase.com lets me view my Amazon and Freedom simultaneously)
Chase Amazon Rewards Visa (5k Limit): debit card replacement
3% amazon, 2% gas, 2% restaurants, 2% pharmacies, 1% other

Chase Freedom Visa (5k Limit): rotating 5% catagories, 1% other

Citi Diamond Preferred Mastercard (3k Limit): No interest for 18 months

Target Store Card: 5% discount! And free shipping online!

Do you have a auto loan, mortgage, or school loan? Those are the things that are going to help your profile. The cards you have now are well rounded. I am guessing you have the store Target card, and not the Visa version. The only thing I would recommend is getting an AmEx, no annual fee card to round out your profile.

Chase Freedom is good.

Not a fan of Amazon. You have to pay taxes and delivery fees, upon a certain amount spent. You can't even go into their store. I'm not a fan. If it were me I would rather have a Discover Open Road.

Do you work at Target or just shop there?

The Citi Diamond looks like a nice card.

I would imagine you don't travel on business.

So you have 2 visas and 1 Mastercard. Have you thought about a Discover card? If you like to shop at your local mall the Discover More is a great card. If you're more interested in gas, restaurants, car repairs and amusement parks the Open Road is a great card.

I have the Amazon Visa card and I don't pay any taxes or shipping fees on my purchases from Amazon but if you purchase through a company who is selling on their site then you will pay taxes or delivery fees.

Well the only amex that I would be interested in is the amex bluecash everyday, but I already have the chase amazon rewards which gives me 2% on gas, restaurants, pharmacies. I work at a restaurant and do not grocery shop so there is no need for supermarket discounts for me. The only thing I like about the amex that I am thinking about is the like link love facebook digital coupons.

I like the chase amazon rewards more than the discover open road because there is no monthly limit on the 2% back i get (which I can get in cash at 1:1 or use on amazon.com (I have amazon prime) ) The discover open road only has a limit of $250 per month.

I dont carry any balances and both my freedom and amazon rewards have 5k limits each and I run a sub 20% utilization per month so there is no need for me to have MORE credit available.
