Do soft inquiries on credit report hurt you?

Postby khaos » Mon Nov 07, 2011 9:27 pm

Hey Everyone!

I got this offer for Equifax to get a credit report every month for free. Although when I was reading the terms and conditions it stated that a soft inquiry would should up on my credit report but it wouldn't hurt my credit report. I was wondering if I should sign up for it just to keep track of my credit scores or should I just stick with the annualcreditreport free report once every year? I guess I want to know if this will make a difference in the future when I try to apply for more credit cards/loans/mortgages?

Also does anyone have any views good/bad of the Patelco credit union, I see they have some decent offers on their credit cards but I was wondering if anyone has any experience with their credit cards or just dealing with them on other loans.
