Full list of Citi card activation phone numbers?

Postby ml1k » Fri Mar 25, 2011 4:45 am

I am currently outside USA. Citi has sent me a new card.

On back of the card, 904-954-4321 is given as the phone number to call collect and activate the card.

Everytime citi sends a new card, there is a new phone number to call to activate the card. I dont understand why they cant keep using one phone number for activation.

I don't like calling a new number mentioned on the card and giving them personal details to activate the card, which involves answering the primary security question and giving the CVV number from back of the card.

I can never find list of valid citi call collect number on their website.

Last time I got a new card I wrote to citi to verify if the phone number mentioned on back of the card was still valid, it took them 3 days to get back.

Does anyone know where citi maintains a full list of current good numbers where I can check 904-954-4321 is a valid number.

Thanks
ML

For activation phone numbers from Citi, I am not aware of any list. Sorry.

Most credit cards allow online activation too, to avoid a phone call. Are your Citi cards not allowing that?

Why do you need a full list of numbers? With one number you can be transferred to the right department if need be.
