How does that make the scumbags? I mean, I can think of many OTHER reasons they're scumbags, but if Alice stiffs Bob and Bob later refuses to give Alice another loan, Bob isn't the scumbag in that scenario.

That was not my reason for calling them scum bags. Those were separate thoughts. But they're definitely scum.

I'm thinking I may not have a good use for MR and just go to all cash back. Supposedly if we make our international trip we will be able to pay a foreign friend to get tickets much cheaper than they can be purchased from the US. I knew going into my ED that I may not be able to get a great value from it, and if this saves that much money it will definitely be worth it, but it's probably time I accept that a boring, reliable cash back strategy is best for me. If my wife gets a Discover it Miles it will be 3% for a year and 1.5% after. I'm thinking I may just be better off putting all spending through something like that (I'll keep the it for 5% since I already have it and the BBR for as long as I can).

What other cards do you have that aren't in your signature?

Don't have the BBR in my signature because it's in my wife's name (and I'm not an AU). Other than that it is literally just old store accounts, a Banana Republic Visa, and a Walmart Mastercard. I should only have 1 HP (on TU - picked up another store account a year ago to get a discount on tires). I'd be open to applying for something, but haven't seen anything too enticing for me.

I really enjoy the BBR. I don't use it but once a month but it has always paid on time. I don't know what other cards they could PC me too. I would hope they just move my limit to the rewards card.
BoA Cash Rewards $13,000
Chase Sapphire Preferred $14,000
BoA Better Balance $12,000
Amex Every Day $24,000
Discover It $19,000
NFCU Cash Rewards $25,200
Barclay Arrival WMC $10,000
Cap One QuickSilver WMC $7,200
WF Cash back Visa Sig $11,000
Citi Thank You Premier $13,500

I enjoy it, too, but they never put the rewards into the savings account I set up just for that purpose. Even though I always make sure the preference is selected and the account is linked, they always say they're unable to process it. I've still gotten the full $30 as a credit, and honestly I can't get too upset when literally all I put through the card is $7.99 a month, but it is annoying.

Maybe we're doing it wrong but we've been doing a yearly BT for $600 or so (and making equal payments monthly) to trigger the credit. After it all shakes out we still clear $102 off the card just for parking a nominal amount in a savings account.

I've never considered that before. Just putting a small monthly charge also works. I've had it long enough to get 3 quarterly rewards, so $90. I don't imagine that would have anything to do with their not being able to deposit the rewards into my savings account, but I've never bothered with trying to contact them. I'm happy just keeping my head down and collecting $120 a year from BofA for spending $95.88 (that I'd be spending on another card anyway). I make sure to make a charge towards my phone bill for enough to use the credit during those months so that a positive balance posts on the statement, which is necessary to qualify for the next quarter's rewards. Gotta love easy money :money:

Didn't expect it to happen, but my TU is now inquiry-free (and that's without any outside help).

I may pick up an Aviator later this year to reblemish it.

I put my Brooks Brothers store-only card out of its misery. I just didn't have much use for it anymore.
