And I never thought I'd say this but I'm thinking about whether to apply for the Amex Platinum before the AF goes up. The Uber credit actually makes the card more appealing to me. SFO is my home airport, so it'd be good to check out the centurion lounge too, now that I'm starting to fly around twice a year or so. On the other hand, I'm pretty invested in cashback and deal hunting so... I guess we'll see.

Which airlines do you fly out of SFO?

Whichever one has the best flight at the times that work for me, followed by the best cost within those time windows. I'm not really loyal to any airline in particular.

SFO has limited airside connectivity between terminals. I'm not sure how easy it is to access T3 airside from International Area G, but some sort of connection exists. There is no airside connection between T3 and T1/T2.

In other words, if you're flying domestic on American, Southwest, Delta, or Virgin America then you won't have access to Centurion (at least with only one trip through security, and I doubt security would let you into T3). There is a nice Delta club in T1, though, when you're flying them. Free for you, $29 per guest.

If you're flying United domestically you will definitely have access to Centurion on most flights and possibly have access on all flights (if getting from that part of I-G to T3 is easy, something I'm not sure about).

If you're flying another airline out of I-G you may possibly have Cent access. I don't know.

Went and got my BofA Checking account and the BBR today ($11K limit, gonna move some of it to the Cash Rewards card when it arrives). Decided to skip the Platinum.

On Jan 18th, I requested a PC from AA Platinum to Costco.

The Costco card finally arrived today. It definitely took a while, but at least I dodged the AA AF.

I do have trips planned to Houston, Fort Worth, Phoenix, Tuscon, Seattle, and Orlando in the next 12 months. All will originate at LAX and will be mixed carrier. I just canx my UA Club card and don't have a card that comes with PP....

Any chance of a Green to Platinum upgrade offer?

I haven't had an offer anytime recently. My Green has only been Green for one year; it was PRG for previous two years and Platinum for 8 before that. I may not be a target...

Hotel and incidental expenses will go on pers card but airfare and vehicle have to go on my gov CC so no taking advantage of 5x there. I wouldn't mind C Lounge though...I may go for an Ameriprise Platinum as the fee is waived the first year.
Sapphire Reserve: travel & dining

Last chance for $450 AFs on Platinum...other than Ameriprise, I guess.

They may launch the $550 card with a nicer bonus than 40k, though.

*60k/$5k/3 months. Others are getting some 75k offer on incognito
