Allegiant Air MasterCard

Postby CreditCardGuru » Thu Sep 22, 2016 3:26 pm

We recently reviewed this new card and it didn't "fare" so well. Does anybody plan on getting this?

I think I'll take a pass. I've only flown Allegiant once and I still can't feel my legs after getting stuck in a middle seat with 4 inches of legroom. So, I doubt I will be trying to leverage my spending to earn free travel with them anytime soon. If the card is anything like the airline they will charge extra for mailing you a bill each month.

In principle, could someone who flew them get the card, cancel it, and then show the card during flights (as if it were still valid) and get the perks? :ppp

I am not planning on getting this card either. I would rather focus my spending on my primary travel card.

No. I have the united airline card though through Chase. I actually don't charge that much, or any, on the united card but for me the annual fee is worth the early boarding privileges and free checked bag. Plus I got a free flight through the signup bonus miles. I don't have status on United hence getting the card. I know this might not make sense to everyone but it is value for me.
