I've thought about a PC to the Miles, but then I feel like the whole point of the Miles card is the year one sign on incentive. Without that I still wouldn't use it much and you give up the gift card redemption bonuses.

I've come to accept that until/unless they make the categories more broad Discover just won't get a lot of use, I guess. It's a shame because in past years the categories were somewhat better but they've really become pretty lame.

Don't you already have a QS or Double Cash or something? A card that occasionally gives 5% might be more useful than another 1.5% card.

I think the categories are okay. I certainly made good use of Q2 restaurants, and some use of Q1 gas. Q3 home improvement and Amazon stuff mostly went on Prestige. None of those categories work for you?

I did a little more brokerage juggling with a (targeted?) TD Ameritrade promo. $250 to let $100k in index ETFs sit in my (previously small) account there for a year. Since I'm not transferring cash, it doesn't matter that the interest rate they pay is $#*%.

It's not as favorable as Citi's checking promo, but should be much less of a hassle.

I'm sure this is covered in several places, but I consistently get offers for 60K Delta Miles.

Can I transfer my CL easily with Amex between a Co-brand and my BCP? I feel like they do it, but I don't remember a discussion about it recently.
Amex - BCP, Platinum, Business Gold
BoA - BankAmericard Cash Rewards
Chase - Freedom, CSP, RC, Ink Plus
Citi - DC, Prestige
Discover - It

I used it a lot for the dining category. Gas isn't a super frequent expense for me, neither are home improvement or Amazon. While these aren't things I "never" spend money on per se, they aren't large purchases for me.

I dunno. I'm the type who hates having cards that don't pull their weight on a frequent basis or only have occasional uses. But, it's an old card, with a huge limit and very low APR, so it's nice for certain purposes I guess.

The donor card must be open for 13 months, and the recipient card for 2 months....last I heard.

That's good enough for me.

I'm curious what kind of limit compared to my BCP I would get on another Amex card.

Delta card is appealing in certain ways.

I'm not sure what I'll go for next, but I might PC my CSP to a Freedom Unlimited and add a CSR eventually. I'd probably split my URs between United 60% and Hyatt 40% before I lose the partner transfer ability.

Given the CSR, I'd want 75K on the Gold and 100K+ on the Platinum. Sure, Delta doesn't have to do what Chase does. But to get me out of the garden, they'll need to do better than what they're doing now. ;)

(That said, I'm keeping a close eye on the Delta Amex. I fly Delta a lot more these days because United is on my personal blacklist and it's relatively convenient to fly PBI -> ATL -> anywhere.)

I was approved but I have no idea what limit I got on the US bank Cash +. Guess I will find out once it comes in the mail.

I had an Adverse Action scare today (a false alarm).

Through a Citi IT glitch, I thought my AA Platinum and Prestige cards had been shut down. I logged into Price Rewind to add a few (smooth, ordinary, and successful) morning purchases. I got the message that the feature was only for Citi customers with a credit card account.

The regular Citi login gave me my checking info, but said my credit card information was temporarily unavailable (and I didn't have much faith in "temporarily"). I got full access back when I tried again an hour later with no further action on my part.

So not actually a credit concern, but it still had the effect of making me want to not leave the garden.
