I've developed a bit of an indifferent/defeatist attitude about MF. So much misinformation (let alone bad advice) is never corrected.

It spreads through threads like an infection.
Warranties and sketchy merchants: Schwab Platinum
Price rewind: Costco
Travel insurance: Prestige, CSP
Perks: IHG, Hyatt
Rewards/Offers: Discover, Freedom, ED, BCE
Taxes/Misc: SPG

Limited value, might close: Arrival

Might add: First Tech, proper business card, Delta Gold, Aviator Red, BofA Travel

Exactly.

I'm really also getting sick of the entitlement that is rampant on there, evidenced by the new Reserve card. Look, we get it, nobody likes 5/24, but it is what it is. You aren't going to die if you don't get the card.

Instead of just accepting what is a well-known underwriting policy (and over a year old at this point) everyone's all "waaah! they should make an exception for me!" or driving 3, 4, 6 hours to branches. It's just ridiculous. If it's that important to you, that's fine and all, but instead of acting like Chase is passing off a valuable customer, call it like it is. You want the bonus points and that's probably about it. Which is exactly why Chase wants to decline you. :rolleyes:
