Stupid questions on MF

Postby MemberSince99 » Wed Jul 13, 2016 10:43 am

I was just browsing and found a number of them like how many cards is too many or what's the highest limit amex gives or the classic what are my odds of approval for csp

Then I saw the motherlode of stupidity - app spree I applied for 20 cards in one day.

Dude seriously are you nuts. Why not 50 or 100. I really believe one day I'll see a topic that says app spree I applied for 100 cards yesterday while drunk did I damage my credit. Uh no man you probably pushed it to 800 with that bit of brilliance keep up the good work.

Just unreal

How long can a MF thread be before you won't read it?

For example, I see the Synchrony thread has 500+ posts in it. I'm sure there are some smart people who have contributed to the thread, but there's just so much useless, inaccurate, or repetitive information there.

By the end of the second page or so, a thread has usually either covered all important information on the topic, or the thread is beyond any hope of recovery.

It's hard to resist when things are slow on here. I go by there to see what kind of drama is going on over there. I have never posted but I do like a good laugh once in a while.

The Synch threads have turned into a sobfest of "OMG so sorry this happened to you" as if someone has lost their loved one as opposed to a freaking credit card.

"What will I do for dining if Synch shuts me down!? My marvel card is my dining go to!" ... Guess you'll just never eat again.

I mean seriously people it's just a card

This is actually one of my main problems with that forum. It's too much to read and most of it is nonsense or a repeat.

Some of it is interesting and there's too much bull shit to sift through to get to any tea information.

But like someone said below this original post...when it's slow here, I go over there and try to entertain myself with their madness or stupidity. And I like to read some of the approvals.

It is a little bit like watching a traffic accident sometimes...

But to be fair, Member, you've also had your share of bizarre credit activity in the last few years - and you have like 20 years of experience from which to learn, while many of them are relatively new.

I don't think that's a stupid question as much as a very hard question to answer.

It's a question no one can answer at all AND the person posing the question has the absolute highest chance of determining an answer. So, I think it does make it a very stupid question. Or at least it's very stupid to ask it. Not sure if there's a difference.
