Well, my life is divided presently between the west and east coasts. So long as that's the case, I don't have practical alternatives to flying.

What is causing the split?
Amex - BCP, Platinum, Business Gold
BoA - BankAmericard Cash Rewards
Chase - Freedom, CSP, RC, Ink Plus
Citi - DC, Prestige
Discover - It

What is causing the split?

Most of my past, a mediocre career, inherited real estate, and most possessions in the east.
Family and probably better career prospects in the west.
I'm gradually moving my life to the west.
Very useful: SchwabPlat, CSP, IHG, Costco (was AA Plat), Freedom, SPG, Prestige (retention)
Somewhat useful: Discover, ED (was EDP), BCE, Hyatt
SD with activity alerts, might close: Arrival

Might add: Proper business card, CSR, Ritz, Delta Gold, First Tech, BofA Travel PH, Aviator Red

That's interesting. I have a pretty good idea of where you're at in the East. Where are you liking in the West?

You like it there? I have a hard time with the people in that place...we don't mesh well together.

Yeah, there's a bit of crazy and blindness to problems...but CA has trade with (and immigration of rich people from) Asia, while NY is feeling a lot of pain from an increasingly decentralized financial services industry.

My IHG free night posted, and I'm through minimum spend on my cards. Still not really tempted to app for anything.

There's not that much out there that's new at the moment... Freedom Unlimited I suppose has potential (would actually be some form of replacement in some ways for the EDP), but I personally just don't think I would actually use it that much.

It's marginally tempting though.

Couldn't agree more. Between security theater, long lines, cramped seats (no, work doensn't let me fly Business Class, and on personal travel I'm too cheap to), bad airplane food, overpriced airport food options, long lines, flight delays with the resultant missed connections...air travel pretty much sucks.

I fly when I have to, but I will drive whenever that's a practical alternative, even if it means an extra hotel night or two.

So FNBO seems to have given me a Auto CLI of ....................... $300. Don't think calling now and asking for more is going to work. :beat: :beat: :beat:

In other news I have had the worst migraine for the past month or so. It was killing me everyday and on top of it I was confused most of the time. Taking meds the doctor ordered seemed to make the confusion much worse. Even more messed up I had a super natural experience. I saw the devil appear as an angel. If he had been saying good things I would have bought hook line and sinker that it was a good angel. I always thought of him as a red creature but he chose to be cloaked in white. I was awake when this happened to me and it took my mind a while to figure out what was happening. He seemed really focused on getting me to do something and my own mind could hardly keep a whole sentence together in thought that day. Heck most of my replies were very short to people or I would have to ask them to repeat themselves as I was so out of it.

He didn't go away until I got pissed off at him. I was taken by surprise how quickly he cleared out after just getting mad at him. I can't be sure it was real, but I don't get where my mind would have pulled this from. But if it was all in my mind, then I really was screwed up that day.

All I know is I don't want a 2nd visit and would love to make a charge back on the first visit as I didn't order that on any of my cards. :ppp
