I got a PP Select card in the mail. Fortunately, there's a letter included that mentions Citi Prestige, so I don't have to deal with any confusion over whether the card is for the good Citi version or the mediocre Amex Platinum one. I also don't have an Amex Hilton Surpass to complicate things even further with its lousy PP version...all three of which are called "Select" to keep things confusing.
Now that I have Prestige, it really seems kind of ridiculous for Platinum to not include guest access with at least one of PP or Delta. I'll be using the SFO Centurion lounge for at least two visits this summer, and probably a Delta lounge somewhere, but free guest access at Centurion lounges probably doesn't mean very much to many customers when they have so few locations. Crowds and quality will certainly vary with each location and the time.

With Discover, I am pleased with the card and there service, but yes, it kind of runs along with Freedom, and I have AMEX BCP, BOA cash rewards also that have good rewards, especially BCP. Just trying to whittle down cards for more conveince and to make room for future CLI"s on better cards like MPR. No, Dillards nor Kingsize have alerts, and I actually can get better rewards using other cards I have.
Well, I'm in the "Freedom and Discover are different enough to have both" camp, so I can see how closing Discover might be reasonable for you, even if it's something I would certainly not do with my own Discover account.
Maybe close Dillards and Kingsize now, and see how you feel about Discover in a few months? Discover allows for activity alerts, so it's easy to monitor the account.
Very useful: SchwabPlat, CSP, IHG, Costco (was AA Plat), Freedom, SPG
Somewhat useful: Discover, ED (was EDP), BCE, Hyatt
Plan to PC: Prestige to DC
SD with activity alerts, might close: Arrival and Brooks Bros
Might add: Proper business card, CSR, Ritz, Delta Gold, First Tech, BofA Travel PH
