Return Credit to a Credit Card

Postby AceH » Wed May 19, 2010 6:57 pm

How does a return for credit post to one's credit card. EXAMPLE: Previous balance on Credit Card was 0. I made a $151 purchase and paid bill in FULL as soon as I got the statement. A few weeks later I realized the product I purchased was defective so I returned item and will receive a credit to my credit card. Since this bill was paid in full will the funds be returned to my checking account?

Glad to hear it's resolved. But for anyone reading this post in the future, what usually happens is they will issue you a check if need be. More often than not this isn't needed if the customer continues making purchases (and spends the amount credited).
