I'll be closing PRG and downgrading EDP to the no-AF version sometime in the next two months.

I'll be chopping the Synchrony cards at some point, then maybe adding another card or two in the mix by December. I was considering a CSP to go with Freedom but it sounds like the criteria for it is strict enough to make me wait a while. I may try for some combination of Amex, Citi or Barclay (have been thinking of a Rewards card to add a MC to the mix, then maybe change to an Arrival when the situation warrants it.)
Current Cards: Chase Freedom, Discover IT
Future: TBD

You've already got a lot of good cards (and big AFs), so be very picky about what you add. Perks and bonuses may matter more than the earn rate.

Above...

That's the plan. Earning anymore regular rewards currency / looking for a more maximized spend is futile. I'm looking for airline and hotel perks and bonuses for travel pretty much. I.E. Your AA Plat card with the free checked bags. If you fly more than once a year with a companion, the card earns you money on baggage fees. Things like that. I haven't delved into the hotel cards just yet, but between Chase's cards and SPG, there are plenty of perks and free nights to be had. We'll see how far I go with it though. I was mostly planning on just one more card for the last like 8 months so this is a drastic change in plan as of right now. Nothing anytime soon anyway...
Amex - BCP, Platinum, Business Gold
BoA - BankAmericard Cash Rewards
Chase - Freedom, CSP, RC, Ink Plus
Citi - DC, Prestige
Discover - It

Too often, people focus on earn rate and ignore the dilution of spend. Yes, 3x on something you used to get 2x or whatever on is nice, but you have to translate it into dollars. If the increased benefit only comes out to $25 extra for a year, for example, is it worth adding another new account to track and manage?

Not to mention the pain in the ass it's become to choose which card for every purchase.

Having a MC could be good, but I'd try to get something better than Rewards. If you PC to Arrival, you might get some bonus, but probably not the full $200.

Really I can't think of anything better that I would qualify for at this point. Other than maybe Capital One who I'm not huge fans of. And I've known Barclays to be pretty generous with CLIs on the Rewards MasterCard if they like your profile and you don't do anything too crazy that might warrant AA.

Speaking of the Arrival... What kind of use do you get out of it CarefulBuilder? I know you have the no AF right? (To be honest, it doesn't interest me for myself, but I am curious and I do try to inspire conversation on this forum).

I was looking at both Arrival and Arrival+ yesterday but I have no use for them that I can figure out so far...

Yes, it's the no-AF one.

I got it under three incorrect beliefs:
1. It was a "true" Chip+PIN card that would have excellent international acceptance. (It defaults to asking for a signature.)
2. It had an EMV chip like the Arrival+. (It didn't at the time, it does now.)
3. Barclaycard was very strict about not allowing people to PC from Arrival+ to Arrival, and would decline any Arrival app from someone who currently had or recently closed an Arrival+. (They usually allow PCs, or at least they do now.)

I do occasionally get some use out if it with the RewardsBoost feature...though not all of it might be above board. :ppp Maybe I'll be more daring with this after I redeem the last $100 of rewards on it.

Daring in what way?

Also, your previous comment about the AFs (not that they're not quite high without this, but) the business cards are true business cards. I don't pay the AF and they're not for myself for the cell phone bill every month etc etc. They get worked to death. Not sure if that was a factor in your comment. I know I still have plenty of AF to go around, but they all have their place and the two large ones are chopped in half before the end of the year at the worst...

Daring in that I combine the Barclaycard portal with Amex offers. I get Arrival Miles without using the card.

Well, if you don't pay the AFs on the business cards and the company picks them for you, then debating the value of Amex Gold cards (personal and business, except for PRG) is irrelevant. If I needed an Amex business card, I know I would prefer a business SPG (for as long as it exists, at least). The Business Gold does have the NPSL, though.

I did request the EDP-to-ED PC, so that's one less AF for me.
