No Interest & No foreign transaction fee - need input!

Postby carp104 » Mon Mar 14, 2016 1:54 pm

Hello,

I am going to be needing a credit card with no foreign transaction fees very shortly for a new business venture that will be purchasing products largely overseas (online).

I also would like to transfer my existing card balance to this card, so I would like the longest no interest period possible.

The final requirement is it must be a Visa or Mastercard based card in order to be accepted overseas where I intend to use it.

The best I've found so far is the Capital One Quicksilver with no interest until November 2016, and no transaction fees. I've seen no interest cred cards up to 21 months, but they have foreign transaction fees. I'd like something a little better than November 2016.

Can anyone make any recommendations?

The Bank of America Travel Rewards Visa Signature card has no interest for 12 months and does not have foreign transaction fees or an annual fee. You earn 1.5 points per dollar you spend. However it says points are redeemed toward travel purchases.

I don't see much (if any) advantage with the BOA Travel card over a Quicksilver. Both have a 0% offer, no annual fee, and no foreign transaction fee. Same earn rate, but with the Quicksilver you can redeem for straight cash with no penalty.

I've had bad experiences with Capital One, so as a result, I no longer have any cards with them.
Haha.. just my luck!

True. Capital One definitely has their downsides for some people.
