What are my chances?

Postby kelseyks » Wed Mar 09, 2016 1:14 pm

What are my chances of being approved for a chase card when i have less than 2 years of credit history, but have a good credit score? They say I'm pre-qualified for Chase freedom, and Chase slate.

Based only on the information provided, probably pretty good. Do you have any negative information reported? How many accounts do you have opened? Are any of them under 6 months old? Under 12 months old? How many inquiries are on each of your reports?

With a young, potentially clean profile, these are most likely the most important factors that will be considered.
Amex - BCP, Platinum, Business Gold
BoA - BankAmericard Cash Rewards
Chase - Freedom, CSP, RC, Ink Plus
Citi - DC, Prestige
Discover - It

First off, we can't tell you. We're not Chase underwriters. Second, your info is far too vague to even try to guess.

What's "good"? Give us a number. What scoring model? What CRA? Does Chase actually consider that score? It's never just about score but you can take a look at the Credit Pulls Database if desired. Keep in mind that approval is a low bar to clear. Your credit profile will play a major role in determining the limit and APR that you would qualify for.

Do not rely solely on prequals. Sort out your needs/wants and find products that suit you. The Freedom and the Slate are very different cards. What are you specifically looking for?
