Oh yes there is. 15K UR, plus 2.5K for an AU. I think threshold is $500.

Pfft, I can knock that out in a day!

For the time being, I will be paying down balances and closing unwanted/unneeded cards. CareCredit is next and last on the hit list. After which I'll keep Freedom and Discover around, along with Amazon (since I use that A LOT) and apply for more a year down the road. Getting a raise and more hours at work will help PIF some balances.

I'll try to stay the course and not app for the rest of the year. Course, who knows what'll be released before then.

I actually read someone's advice on *another* forum. Was something to the effect of "Keep apping until you get a denial.". Whisky....tango....foxtrot. God help anybody who follows that advice.

Yea because it's impossible to get approved for a whole bunch of accounts within a month only to have all of your new accounts and some or all of your old accounts closed for absurdly risky credit behavior. That will never happen ever. Not never.

One guy has like 47 inquiries on a CRA and 60 cards!? I assume he's being truthful. Maybe it's a joke and I'm just not getting it.

Sadly, probably not a joke...it doesn't take too many "impulse apps" to rack up those kinds of inquiries

Who are we talking about? It wouldn't be too hard for someone to have 60 cards with low CLs and loose approval criteria.

Even 60 travel cards wouldn't be out of the realm of possibility for a highly sophisticated bonus hunter. I think djrez4 had like 40, so 50% beyond that isn't unreasonable.

Then again, some issuers have become more sensitive to new accounts, inquiries, MS, and churning. Having 60 useful cards open simultaneously may be a thing of the past.
