That's how I would probably feel in this situation too. Personally, I'd rather take the small fee and not rock the boat.

It's no skin off their ass to refund it, really. You won't draw attention to yourself. Thousands of people daily ask for fee waivers.

I called Comenity 5 times tonight and got my CL on Pottery Barn raised from $500 to $30k. It might catch the attention of their risk department, but I bought $45 of scented candles with the card six months ago, and they'd be out of their minds to take AA against such an important customer. It helps keep my utilization under 1%.

I had to take 2 HPs, but I got a CLI on my BP Visa from $4k to $6k. I know I only spend $150 on gas a month, but I was able to get an upgrade to Visa Signature - because the BP Visa is absolutely the card I trust any time I think I'll need any consumer benefits or customer service assistance with a purchase.

Next, I think I'll app for the Old Navy and Barney's cards. I'm a regular shopper at both of those stores.

P.S. Does anyone know if I can app for both the Ring and Gold Card and only take one inquiry from Barclaycard?

I had to reread the post before I got it.

FNBO is just really odd, I have gotten a pile of mail to tell me about my new card and they don't ever seem to quit. I have paperless statements but they are dead set on killing trees just to tell me more about my %2 CB card.

That cracked me up carefulbuilder. Seriously, how much limit do people need on store or gas cards? I get the "buffer" thing sort of but wouldn't you rather have that on an actually useful card? How much are people spending per month at Pottery Barn?

Oh well, it comes back to bite them eventually when they struggle to get "real" cards. It's a shame some people can't seem to figure out that the easier cards to get/have huge limits on are easier for a reason...they aren't (nearly as) useful.

The approvals sections is honestly pretty scary to me these days. Same people, same exact "congrats!" over and over and over. Regardless of the poster, the card, the limit....congrats congrats congrats. Gets a little over the top sometimes.

I think this is just a giant joke. I'm more interested to see how the mods handle it. I get yelled at for being too harsh in another thread, yet no one has been reprimanded for calling OP a liar. It's just another example of the double standard.

390's just as possible as 850, OS. Seems about as fishy as BnT filing for BK7 with $1,000 in CC debt at worst. :ppp

Back in 2007, I scored in the low 400s. Was a disaster (serious money problems), couldn't even get an Ally Bank savings account once money started coming in. Took a long time to claw my way out of that hole.

Incidentally, I just got a decent CLI from Discover today ($9100 to $13600). They sure have been good to me. :)
