Congrats! Is the TY Preferred mainly for the bonus? Most people seem to think it's a not-great card for long term.

I've been with them since 2006 and you're right about the $4.95 trades. If memory serves, I believe there was an additional 1 cent per share added for shares priced under a certain amount ($2 maybe?). Anyway, nothing but good experiences dealing with them. What few times I needed customer service, it was stellar.

Honestly, I applied for that one under the $0 spend offer and while I don't truly expect they will honor it.....It was the first app the rep processed so I was kinda stuck. Lol.

There was a link to a citi thankyou preferred card with 20k points for 0 spend. Ostensibly it was merely a system error but some people applied anyway.

Got a auto CLI from Discover today and it hasn't even been 6 months from when the account was opened.

It just went from being little bit on the smaller side to my 2nd highest CL card. Though my cash limit is still tiny it went up as well. It's my First auto CLI and the only CLI I have ever gotten.

Now if the FNBO could be so nice as to CLI me........................................................

Howdy folks!

Down with some cold so basically roaming around forums. Gardening for the next few months anyway.

Done with Jan approval. The new PRG (whenever it arrives) will be good for the next 6-odd months of gardening. Last round was almost 7 months of no apps. 50K MR for 1k spend seems good.

Deep down, I was hoping AMEX would come up with a 5% no-AF card in the new year, something combining its own BCE/P lines and US Bank's Cash+, but that didn't happen.

Nothing else looks exciting. Also, dear SO doesn't like me applying for cards anyway so I'll be in the garden for a while!
AMEX BCE | PRG || Barclaycard Sallie Mae || Capital One QuickSilver | Venture || Chase Freedom | Sapphire Preferred || Citi Dividend || Discover It || UFCU Great Rate || US Bank Cash+ #1 | Cash+ #2 | Club Carlson Plat | REI || Total CL $144.2k + PRG NPSL, not counting AU

Requested a CLI on Discover yesterday. Got one with a SP, so I'm still in. I would still come out of the garden if anything interested me.

Not sure I'll be requesting anything in the way of CLIs until Util comes down, and I'm up in the 700's, although if they want to give me one I'd be okay with that. I also started the process of eliminating part of the synchrony 'relationship' and put Walmart and CareCredit through the shredder. Will be closing once PIFed.
Current Cards: Chase Freedom, Discover IT
Future: TBD
