But I will let it be your call. :)

We are happy with him here, he is happy here, you are the only one that doesn't seem to be ok with all of this. What happened on MF with KDM has been dealt with. By bringing it here you are starting to break the rules. We all know how MFers are such strict rule followers so perhaps you should get acquainted. topic11937.html

You joined December 17th, any time before then is irrelevant for the rest of us. Whether lurking or stalking, I don't think anyone here cares. What we do care about is how things are going forward.

RewardsHunter17 wrote:There is a gray area about what you might call "stalking" and what I would call being a frequent guest of this forum and, of course, reading the one thread in the forum that month after month is by far most amusing to read on here, the Garden Club thread.

I'm glad you enjoy it. It offers a little more gardening than the MF version, but we generally have a healthier harvest. ;)

Fine. As you did apologize to me in PM, and you have more to lose than I have to gain winning a petty argument, I will let it go, as I stated that I wanted to earlier.

But I would strongly, strongly recommend that you not post any more false information about me on this forum, or on myFICO, for that matter, if you ever do take to posting there.

On a lighter note, with respect to what you said, Vermonster, my EQ score rose 6 points today to 692. :) That's not terrific, but it's a heck of a lot better than where it was. My EX and my TU had been going up like crazy (although recently my EX has stagnated) and it was my EQ that never moved. Lately, my EQ has been hopping all over the place, which is good because it seems like almost everyone pulls EQ here.

I got my first Barclaycard spend promo...on Arrival.

2 bonus "miles" per $1 spent on supermarkets, movie theaters, and utilities. Jan 1 through Mar 31, up to 2500 miles. That makes the card's rewards:
3.3% on groceries, movies, utilities.
2.2% on travel and dining.
1.1% on everything else.

I have better grocery/dining/travel options, but I'll use the card for utilities and likely a movie ticket.

I think these offers go out somewhat randomly. I'm not aware of any way to improve the odds of getting one. I used to experiment with Sallie Mae spending to see if I'd get one, but when a promo comes from Barclaycard, it's for a different card. Go figure.
Wallet: Prestige CSP SchwabPlat Freedom It Hyatt SallieMae AAPlat
SD: Arrival BrooksBros BCE ED IHG
Letting new accounts cool off since May
Really not sure what I'll add next or when

Guess they're sending out January's offers. Nothing on my Upromise, though I cannot really complain as I had just recently gotten two offers.

On a personal level I have 2 category cards, one of which is my daily driver which all spending goes on save for a few smaller bills. And the other I use sparingly. Plus one very useful store card, and two more that will be SD'd. Future needs, probably a general travel card with restaurant benefits (ala CSP) and a gas, groceries card that could also be used for general, everyday spending (EDP with the 30 swipe points bonus). All of those would fit my needs, and wouldn't put me in a position to get in over my head. I could use the EDP as the everyday driver, and rotate other cards monthly or as needed (CSP for travel, Amazon for prime purchases). That's my idea of maximizing rewards.

My Prime membership renews in 3 days and I'm still trying to think whether I should cancel the renewal. I do get a lot out of it, but there isn't much I couldn't wait until orders add up to $35 to get. I also like the videos and music, but that's a like, not a need. What to do, what to do...

I use the video often, especially now they have subscriptions to STARZ and Showtime for something like $8.99 a month. I cut the cord sometime ago and bought an Apple TV (I hear they're working on an app for Apple TV, maybe by the end of the year). Even the 1-day delivery on Prime is dirt cheap. I bought a TV and used the one day delivery option, only cost like $13.
Current Cards: Chase Freedom, Discover IT
Future: TBD

I love all the people on myfico who claim they are gardening and then a week later they "fell out of the garden". I mean seriously, how hard is it to not apply for credit cards? That AARP made a lot of people "fall out of the garden", that's for sure. I just don't get the logic of making a big deal about how you are in the garden, no more apps, don't need anything else, etc and then a week later "OMG they reeled me in!". At least just don't mention being in the garden. You have zero credibility gushing about how you are done with apps if every time something else comes along you go for it.

What's even worse is the people getting a new card (just using AARP as an example here) and then basically saying they have little use for it.

Yeah I think I will keep it after all. The benefits are too plenty for the money not to. And that's at $89.10 this year ($99 - 10% with Discover double cash) so the value is pretty much unbeatable.
