The term "fat pigs get slaughtered" applies here.

Ha! I was in the mood for a good laugh. I love how everyone with spending spread out across dozens of cards and every lender available is the most important customer ever, and any company willing to part with SUCH a big spender that's SO loyal must have a death wish.

It's always "How dare they!!!"

Same with the whole Capital one triple pull deal. People talking about how that policy will "Put them out of business", Please: 98% of consumers don't even know the name of all three major CRA's off the top of their head.

Or how Chase will "go out of business" for declining likely churners with a ton of new accounts.

It is amusing to see the huge number of Comenity closures.

People there don't think of Comenity as a profit-seeking bank that actually wants regular spending as part of giving high CLs.
Very useful: SchwabPlat, CSP, IHG, Costco (was AA Plat), Freedom, SPG, Prestige (retention)
Somewhat useful: Discover, ED (was EDP), BCE, Hyatt
SD with activity alerts, might close: Arrival

Might add: Proper business card, CSR, Ritz, Delta Gold, First Tech, BofA Travel PH, Aviator Red

Not to derail the MF hurt train going on here but... Wow! Ya'll already on page 7 and we're only 6 days into the month....but I digress...I've paid off my Amazon Store Card last week and made my first major payment on my Chase Freedom card. Now I'm just paying that sucker off and chilling. We got the new EMV enabled credit card machines at work yesterday so that's always cool to play with new tech. Except when they installed them they didn't activate the EMV portion of the machine. I'm tired of swiping cards, I'm ready to join the rest of the world and dip my customers cards. So hopefully that gets fixed in the next couple of days. Not sure if any of y'all are gamer's but Fallout 4 is coming out Monday so I plan on playing that along with dealing with the drudgery that is University. That's basically my month in a nutshell.
Kohls: $300, Discover IT: $1.8k, Capital One Quicksilver: $2k, Amazon Store Card: $2.2k, Chase Freedom Unlimited: 3.2k, AMEX HHonors 5k

Some of the churners on there are the worst, especially with Chase, Citi, Amex etc. They have 20 cards, they buy a pack of gum on most of them every month, but they want a 50k point retention offer because they are SUCH a great customer, the lender should go to all lengths to keep them. Please. They want all their travel paid for by a lender, yet they don't even use the cards. Then they whine about how x, y or z lender "doesn't fight to keep customers". News flash: they don't care about keeping customers like that.

And they bring up perfect payment histories as if that's not the bare minimum a bank expects from you.

Well....That brings up an interesting contradiction about the credit hoarder crowd over there.

They claim to apply to "help utilization", yet almost shove it down your throat that they "Pay before statement cut" and have "1%" utilization reporting.

THEN WHY IN GOD'S EARTH DO YOU KEEP APPLYING?!?
