I think the benefit to your Util is going to far outweigh the HP, and in 12 months it won't matter. Just make the next one count!
Chase Freedom $9k~~Chase Sapphire Preferred $6.5k~~Amex Blue Cash Preferred $12.4k~~Citi Double Cash $4.7k

Who else has one report that's inquiry-heavy?

I have 9 on EX (5 Chase, 3 Amex, 1 Disc), 4 on TU (2 Barc, 1 Chase, 1 Synch), and 1 on EQ (Disc). That's 9 of 14 on EX, and 6 of 14 from Chase.

A Chase CLI request resulted in an EX and TU double pull. I might (or might not) have gotten an auto CLI if I'd waited longer. Other than that, my pulls have just been for new accounts and haven't been wasted.

How was the CLI with Chase from the hard pull? Was it substantial or just a bump?
Amex - BCP, Platinum, Business Gold
BoA - BankAmericard Cash Rewards
Chase - Freedom, CSP, RC, Ink Plus
Citi - DC, Prestige

Reasonably successful. Entered with $600 SL and 8 months of regular spending. Requested a new CL of $3k and got a new CL of $2k. My only other cards at the time were a $2k joint Discover and an individual PRG.

A month later, I got a $6k BCE and a $4.5k Sallie. If I'd waited until the $6k BCE had started reporting a little history, the CLI for Chase and the SL on Sallie might have been bigger.

That's a big increase relative to where the limit started.

I have had very good success with Discover with CLIs. I have only had the card for 7 or 8 months and I've gotten 3 or 4 increases (all requested - and 1 or 2 denials).

I think having the higher limit on your other accounts can help, but probably only to a point.

Eh, I pretty much live in the garden and as a result have very few inquiries.

I have 1 inq on Experian for my Citi Double Cash that is right at a year old. That was certainly 'worth it' to me. I love my Double Cash card!

I also have 1 inq on my TransUnion for a BofA credit limit increase. It was a couple thousand lower than my CLs on Discover, Chase, and Citi so I requested and received a bump to bring it in line with them...I didn't really need it, but I do enjoy that my limits are exactly the same now across BofA, Citi, and Chase, and just a bit higher on Discover.

I haven't pulled Equifax recently, but it should be clean of inqs unless either Citi or BofA double pulled.

I don't anticipate leaving the garden any time in the next few months. Unless something really appealing comes along my next app will probably be for the Amex BCE, but I won't be interested in applying for it for at least another 4-6 months. I PIF but I like to keep a 0% into APR card handy 'just in case' and my Double Cash had an 18 month intro when I got it, so I still have 6 months left. No point in doubling up on 0% intros, especially since I really can't think of any other cards I'll be interested in after the BCE...unless something new and enticing comes along of course. So I'll probably try to snag what seems like the most appealing signup bonus on the BCE sometime in early-to-mid 2016.

I've got to stock up at Trader Joe's and Whole Foods...as well as most likely get some stuff for Thanksgiving... so the plan to use Sallie Mae this month isn't going to happen. EDP it is, and I'll be sure to hit 30 transactions. It'll be worth it for the resulting flood of MRs this month. :)

ETA: Barclaycard's website is still a bit unclear about whether they've actually given me the 0% promo the CSR offered. I guess I'll have to wait for another statement or two to cut to clearly see it in writing.

I browsed Citi's prequalified website and it shows a fixed 17.99% APR for AAdvantage Platinum.

The 50k mile offer is appealing, but I should garden.

I wish I knew how much longer the offer would be around, or when it would return in the future. I've got my 2015 and 2016 PRG credits to use, so it would be great to switch to AAdvantage Platinum around March or April 2016 if I decide to close PRG.

Do you fly primarily American? I am gaining a preference for that airline.

Have you considered replacing the PRG with the Citi Prestige?
