I like having a MC for some reason, but it is my newest card behind the Marriott coming, and I am going to garden now except for my Bonus spending with Marriott, so I guess if I wanted to get rid of it or change it would be a good time. What do you suggest?
To be clear, it is the QS1, and not the QS? You did pay a $39 AF for it?
Yes, QS1 AF $39 started me with $500 CL
Maybe call them and see if they'll let you switch to a regular QS. They'll probably tell you to apply for a new account, instead, which I wouldn't do.
If they insist on the AF, I'd close it before the AF came due again. If you want a MC then, maybe go for IHG. Capital One's $39 AF is certainly a ripoff when you can get an annual worldwide free night for $10 more!
Keeping indefinitely: IHG, SchwabPlat, CSP, Discover, Freedom, ED, BCE, Hyatt
May close or PC: Prestige, Arrival, BrooksBros
AA Platinum converting into Costco
Might add: Proper business card, CSR, Ritz, Delta Gold, First Tech
Letting new accounts cool off since May
