In a few weeks, you might consider hunting around the Marriott and MF websites, as well as doing web searches. I just took a quick look and didn't see anything, but something better might come up within the next few weeks or months.

Once you've met the minimum spending stipulated in a better offer, you can send Chase a secure message and request to switch offers. Wait for the transactions to post, but you don't need to have the statement close. Including a web link to the better offer can't hurt (or maybe a screenshot if it's not on Chase.com).

Chase will sometimes even honor offers that have (recently) expired. I added another 20k IHG points to my signup bonus this way.

Superior Marriott offers I've seen before:
A. 40k, waived AF, $150, $2k spend (I had a reservation in my "cart" at Marriott.com but hadn't yet checked out.)
B. 70k, waived AF (Chase.com)
C. 80k, AF due (Chase.com)

I don't remember the minimum spend associated with the last two, but it wasn't anything excessive.
Very useful: SchwabPlat, CSP, IHG, Costco (was AA Plat), Freedom, SPG, Prestige (retention)
Somewhat useful: Discover, ED (was EDP), BCE, Hyatt
SD with activity alerts, might close: Arrival

Might add: Proper business card, CSR, Ritz, Delta Gold, First Tech, BofA Travel PH, Aviator Red

When did they drop the first-year Cat 1-4 certificate?

WOW! you are not going to believe this, but just before I checked this forum and saw your reply, Marriott Rewards had sent me an E-mail with an invitation code for a special deal.
70,000 bonus points with $3,000.00 spent in first 3 months
7,500 bonus points first authorized user
no intro AF for first year
That is just spooky! I called Chase and told them about it, they took my invitation code that Marriott sent me, submitted it and said it would take about 21 days to go through.
20,000 extra bonus points, that's a free night in a cat. 4 hotel. Thanks man

I'm glad you got some more points, but I don't think we're talking about quite the same thing on this. When I say a Cat 1-4 certificate in the first year, I don't mean a Cat 1-5 certificate in the second year and every year after that. I mean a Cat 1-4 certificate that once came as part of the signup bonus, along with 50/70/80k points.
