Discover often gives SP CLIs.

Chase often will give more credit on a new card than via a CLI on an old one. A lot of people who want a CLI like to apply for a new Chase card, get the bonus, and then transfer some or all of the CL from the new card to an older one.
Keeping indefinitely: IHG, SchwabPlat, CSP, Discover, Freedom, ED, BCE, Hyatt
May close or PC: Prestige, Arrival, BrooksBros
AA Platinum converting into Costco

Might add: Proper business card, CSR, Ritz, Delta Gold, First Tech
Letting new accounts cool off since May

Chase will generally grant auto CLIs for up to one year after a card is opened, or after a significant CLI. Generally if you haven't seen one in that time, you won't ever see one. I would wait another 6 months on the CLI unless you really need it.

My last HPs were in May until last night. The new apartment ran our credit to determine our security deposit. Luckily we qualified for the lowest deposit, which is less than 1/5 of our monthly rent. So sort of worth it.
Chase Freedom $9k~~Chase Sapphire Preferred $6.5k~~Amex Blue Cash Preferred $12.4k~~Citi Double Cash $4.7k

The only Chase card I regularly spend on (Ink Plus), has yet to a CLI in 7 months as of yet.

Well said, and I don't need it on that card (Marriott). I've put a couple hotel stays on it and pay it off the following statement.

Very worth the HP. I definitely don't miss haggling and dealing with apartment landlords LOL. All I have my eyes set on now is finding my next home closer to the water/beach.
Portfolio:
CITI Diamond Preferred $7,000 [06-16]
AMEX Platinum (Charge) [11-16]
AMEX EDay $12,000 [11-14]
Lowes Store $15,000 [4-14]
CSP VISA $6,000 [7-14]
GM MC $9,000 [9-14]
AAdvantage Red MC $10,350 [10-14]
Discover IT $4,500 [03-15]
Chase Marriott VISA $5,000 [04-15]
Cap One Quick $2,600[4-10]

Speaking of HP for CLI, I am absolutely LOVING that that the store card trick kids are getting hammered by Comenity lately for pissant $500 CLIs..

The abuse would only last so long and redemption is finally catching up!

People are now calling Comenity to have the HPs removed...apparently with some success.

Just for curiosity, where do you get that type of info? Is it on MyFICO or someplace else?

Does anyone else find it overwhelming to try to search through the MyFICO threads? I try now and again and just give up...
Amex - BCP, Platinum, Business Gold
BoA - BankAmericard Cash Rewards
Chase - Freedom, CSP, RC, Ink Plus
Citi - DC, Prestige
Discover - It

It's on myfico. I just read a few threads that sound unusual, and skip the exceedingly long ones.

One thing I do dislike is how quickly a good topic gets buried under garbage.

Yea. I find it very difficult to keep track of everything. Perhaps part of it is that I'm almost always on mobile, but I don't think so.

There seems to be way too many categories and subcategories for me to work with and I get confused. It seems to be more active than this forum, but also seems to contain significantly less potency and realistic, honest responses. Every now and again I'm intrigued and engaged by a thread and after reading it I try to read more, but it never works out.

What do you plan to do with URs, if you're set on CSP? When you say Freedom is "worth keeping", that seems to understate how valuable UR points can be.

I don't think of Freedom as a 5% cash card. I think of it as a 10%+ travel card. You don't have to earn 10% on much to get good value from the Freedom/CSP combo.

The UR system doesn't give a lot of points. The value is in getting a great value per point.

Since I stand to make some pretty good money in 2016, I plan on traveling a lot more than I do now, with that in mind, the CSP/Freedom combo would work nicely. I would also stand to gain from obtaining an Amex ED (or EDP although I'm not sure 30 swipes on one card is feasible for my purposes) for the points and amex offer as well as the exclusive member benefits like early access to concert tickets or something like that. I would probably circulate between the three as my main (and really, only) cards on a bi-monthly basis. Or just use two and keep one as an emergency card (backed up by an actual emergency fund, of course). But which one? Maybe another, slightly less rewarding card like Double Cash or Barclay Rewards?
Wallet: Chase Freedom, Discover IT
Chopping Block: Synchrony
Future: TBD
