Amtrak & Chase Officially End Relationship

Postby obxfisherman » Mon Aug 31, 2015 12:45 pm

The Amtrak Rewards MasterCard through chase is no more. Not sure how many of you used it, but I had one laying around. The Amtrak/chase relationship has ended and my card will be turned into a chase freedom :/ I already have a freedom so I don't need another one. I'm trying to get them to combine the CL onto my Marriott card and then just close it. Have two freedoms is pointless, unless the account is super old or something. Here is the letter I was sent. http://i.imgur.com/jr7Uv2R.jpg

Any word if they will remain a UR transfer partner?

I've not used Amtrak before, let alone their rewards program, so I'm not terribly familiar with the point value. From a brief glance, it looks like the point value is good, and worthy of transferring URs.
Keeping indefinitely: IHG, SchwabPlat, CSP, Discover, Freedom, ED, BCE, Hyatt
May close or PC: Prestige, Arrival, BrooksBros
AA Platinum converting into Costco

Might add: Proper business card, CSR, Ritz, Delta Gold, First Tech
Letting new accounts cool off since May

I'm not sure. After briefly reviewing the UR website I don't see Amtrak anywhere. Then again, it could be hiding from me...i've never looked on the UR site until today, so your guess is as good as mine.
