Yea at that time I had 3 cards over $5K each, which more than likely helped.

Think I am done apping for Chase cards though, nothing else there interests me except for may the Marriott card....
CSR $24K | Discover IT $22.9K | AMEX BCE $15K | AMEX EveryDay $12.9K | Marriott Premier - $11K | Delta Platinum $10K | Freedom $6.5K | Freedom $6K | BOA Travel Rewards - $2.7K | AMEX Premier Gold

Well I didn't think it would happen this quick, but I got a car!

Went through Carmax who has a history of approving anything with a pulse and a 600 credit score and got a Fiat 500 for under $300 a month. Payments start in September. 9.35% interest which shocked me since I was expecting 12% or higher.

Wonder what this will do to my credit score.
Current Cards: Chase Freedom, Discover IT
Future: TBD

<$300/mo for how many months?

*9.35% does seem excessive for any loan term on a vehicle. I know rates on used cars tend to be a bit higher, but I think only by 1% or so. A lot of credit unions offer great rates on auto loans, but I don't know how close to a great rate you'd get with anything less than a long and clean history.*

Wow congrats. You should let that settle for a while then look at refinancing with a local Credit Union. A friend did that and went down to a 2% interest without adding anything to the rest of her loan.

Yeah, I'll give it six months to a year. Let some things fall off and get some Balances paid. With a good payment history on the loan and the Credit cards, that should help out.

I should have gotten a US Airways card (which would have converted into an Aviator). It sounds like Barclaycard has been pretty good about giving mini-bonus promos on those cards to maintain their customer base.

I've thought of replacing PRG with Platinum or Prestige, but other than that I'm pretty well-set for permanent/semi-permanent cards. I'm turning my attention more towards bonuses on cards I'd close after a year or two.

I'm kind of wondering, should I PC my Forward card, and if I do, to what? I'm not sure if my Forward is really worth the rewards anymore. Or just keep it. I have my eyes on the DC and the AA when I get out of the garden.

What's the current rewards structure? I know the card has been nerfed over time for some people.

And I think you'd need a Prestige or Premier to redeem the TY points well.

What's with wanting an AA Gold card? In the short run, other cards offer much better bonuses. In the long run, the card doesn't seem to offer much value.

*That is, for a $50 AF, I think you don't even get a free checked bag.*

I added a Schwab checking account and debit/ATM card to get around ATM fees. Most of my checking/savings activity is still through Chase.

There was an Equifax HP when I opened a Schwab brokerage account in 2014, but no HP today (at least, I've not gotten a CK email about one...yet).

The last time I was getting CC offers in the mail, they were mostly uninteresting ones from Cap One and Citi.

Now, my AAoA has grown a little, inquiries have aged a little, and I have my first $10k CL.

I think I may opt back in for a bit to see if anything special comes along.
