I tried to request an EMV debit card from Chase for our trip to Italy. I was told that they normally don't let people request them, unless they are traveling internationally. Then they told me that I couldn't request one because my address had been changed in the past 30 days. Major red flag. Yet when she read back the "changed" address it was my current address. I'm assuming it was something like what Careful mentioned, with a new CSP reporting on my account. Yet I sent the request as a secure message through my online banking.

Chase shows both the debit and Liquid with EMV on their site. I'm really curious to know if they will be Chip+Pin capable, even as a secondary authorization.
Chase Freedom $9k~~Chase Sapphire Preferred $6.5k~~Amex Blue Cash Preferred $12.4k~~Citi Double Cash $4.7k

Yup. I should have mentioned that in my last post. The CSR was initially saying that she couldn't send the card because of some supposed address change I'd had. It was only once I used the seemingly magic phrase "my new IHG card" that she told me that the new Chase CC account was the real issue.

I've had the new account for over 30 days, so I'll call later today and share any update.
