Thoughts on new Chase Homepage

Postby obxfisherman » Sun Jul 19, 2015 7:23 pm

Just wanted your thoughts on the new homepage for Chase. It doesn't appear that any other portion of the Chase website is new...unsure If that will change later or not.

Personally I like the new homepage it seems more modern to me, also it is more in line with their mobile app which I like...overall I like it.

Your thoughts?

I really like it. It gives me hope that they will bring back the WinPhone app when Win 10 releases. I'd love to see them be the first bank with a universal Win10 app.

That would be pretty cool. Windows 10 also looks promising to me, have been trying out the technical preview since it first came out...great improvement over Win 8.

Any idea why they pulled the app in the first place? Windows phone is probably my next phone purchase...if blackberry decides to go android...have the passport now.

Anyway, do you just have credit cards through chase or do you have other financial services with them as well?

I'm pretty sure that format is gonna stay for awhile, they're going to update the capabilities more than the aesthetics of the site around September

Sometimes I wanna shake my fist at folks who take something good and make it worse (like schwab)

But eh.

Still waiting for the day they make it so that my app can give me a one time code when I walk up to an atm, as I indicate on my find an atm function--that will scan with the atm to allow me to withdrawal money like fast cash style.

I also wanted to have terminals replaced (the machines itself not just the folks in the toll booth like vestibule) majority--keep maybe two at most if not one, and have folks be able to download an app so they can reload and scan it through like how airports use the QR as eticket in place of paper

The possibilities, but than I read an article about Youngstown, ohio--and also had a surprisingly great interaction with a clerk in one of those airport cubes..and for a brief moment I am reminded of the great folks who make me want to have person to person interactions

But for the most part I seem to run into entitled (esp when it comes to tips, I'm already a pretty tipper eg it's rare I do less than 20%) surly folks at worst or more often than not folks who just do the bare minimum making you wonder if you could just go and attend to yourself.

I've been running the 8.1 Dev preview on my phone since day one and loved it. I held off on the 10 dev preview because I couldn't risk the instability. I sort of regret not partitioning a part of my ssd for a win 10 preview. But then again it is only 9 more days until release.

Chase never said why they removed the app. First they removed the ability to install it, then they removed the ability to connect to the Chase servers. The only info we ever got was a rumor that win phone didn't have the users that Chase needed to keep building the app. But that should change with win 10 universal apps.

I have a checking, savings, 2 credit cards, and an auto loan with Chase. Needless to say, I was disappointed when they canceled the app. My wife will be the first to admit the wind phone app was 100x better than the iOS app.

Its about time they update the site. I always felt like they were behind the times compared to AMEX and Discover.

Discover IT $12,000
USAA Cash Rewards $11,000
American Express Blue Cash Preferred $10,000

Best Buy $6,000
Chase Freedom $4,500

The landing page is all I noticed, maybe they are starting there first. Their site overall is okay, but I'm sure they will change it soon--they all do.

Personally, I dislike pretty much every site update anywhere ever. I get really annoyed having to re-learn a new interface and hunt down what I'm looking for all over again. As a user I want to a learn how to navigate a site ONCE and never need to again. Any updates should be very minor. My reaction upon seeing Chase's update: an irritated, "EUGH!"

...but that's my reaction at every site update.
