It took my Amex almost a week to show on my report. On the other hand I received an alert from Experian when Citi pulled my report before I got the instant approval.

Update: So I called the Application Status number and got the following responses

Application 1: Regular Card - Denied
Application 2: Student Card - Pending expect response via mail in 30 days.
Application 3: Secured Card - Pending expect response via mail in 30 days.

So that clears up all the confusion I had as to why there are no new inquiries.

Well, you're on some sort of blacklist, or they can't figure out who you are. Otherwise, there would be at least one inquiry.

ETA: or you don't meet some basic criteria, like a mininum income or age or something like that.

Update: So I got the first denial letter in the mail. It included the counter-offer along with the reasoning which was "...you do not have a sufficient number of credit references and you do not have sufficient established revolving credit accounts". What does that even mean?

P.S. Also on the reverse it says that it was an Experian credit score of 721 that was used in the decision making process.

Update: I decided I'd get the decision Recon'd. So glad I did! Got approved for a 1k credit line!!! :)

Does anyone have the new # for the B of A recon line? I applied earlier today and was denied as expected because I have a 3 yr old BK. my scores are above 700 with no late pays last 36 months so I think I have a chance.

This is the number I used: 866-618-4855. It is the line for the Senior Credit Analyst. Just tell them you want to have a reconsideration done and they will either help you or transfer you to the correct department.

Here's the list of backdoor numbers.

Its Ok they still will not approve me for the AK Visa Sig card which is what I really wanted. CSR said they need to see a little more re-establishment since the BK which is only 31 months old.

That's too bad. Hopefully you can try again relatively soon.

If your credit hx is thin and or you have some baddies they may counter reply with a secured card. If you really want a long term relationship with BofA that is a good way to get your foot in the door.
