What Credit Cards Documents do you keep?

Postby obxfisherman » Mon May 11, 2015 2:24 pm

Here I am spring cleaning and I came across the folder containing all of my credit card documents. In this folder it contains card member agreements, current APR etc. Do any of you here save this stuff or do you just throw it away since most of this is available online if you really wanted it. I was just curious if others hold onto it like me, or if I should just throw it out.

I'm weird that way but I always keep the documents as well.

You can get the member agreement online typically or ask them to mail it do you again if you like.

I'm paperless with my 3 Amex cards. I get paper statements for the others.

It's a little environmentally evil on my part, but I'm hoping that Barclaycard will offer me a ($25?) credit to go paperless on Sallie Mae like they did for some other people. Heck, I'll take $5.

I may go paperless on Discover and Chase cards, but I'm keeping my paper records for Brooks Bros. The sale of the card program could lead to headaches.

I keep the stuff that isn't readily available online -- mainly the details on benefits, etc. That's about it.

I've kept a lot of mine from when I opened the card. But at this point it is so disorganized that I might as well throw it out. I did keep the rewards booklet that came with the CSP as that has a lot more info than I can find online.

I went paperless today on Sallie Mae and my just-added Arrival. Instant approval was enough to make me give up my quest for a $5 incentive.

I won't be using either card very regularly, but they have their roles.

I try to go paperless as much as possible. I would suggest getting a good scanner and create folders on a flash drive. This way you can get rid of all the paper and maintain your files. Works for me.

I'm paperless for all my cc's. Most TOC or APR info is readily available online or you can request it plus the chance that i'll ever have to reference one of those is pretty slim.
Used to keep documents around but realized they were just taking up space.

I've been liking my new Arrival alot. 2x pts on dining is nice plus I get a free monthly TU score, and their online interface isnt bad. Using it for the majority of the time until i hit the 1k spend for the 20k pts.

I plan to buy a computer with mine to hit the bonus spend, then put minimal activity on it to keep it open and reserve it mainly as a convenient tool for international travel.

I'm still within the Freedom restaurant bonus cap, so that gets my restaurant spending. I have CSP for restaurant overflow spending, if necessary.

Barclaycard does have an excellent website. The TU FICO on there isn't really monthly, though. Mine hasn't updated since March.
