Also, I toned down the MS and selective freezing of reports talk and proceed to get a 7 day ban. So much for toning it down helping things. I suspect it was MVV that did the deed this time. But yeah, mods and CLs alike will PM asking and discussing about B*, MS, and Selective freezing yet turn around and give you crap about it publicly.

I don't think it's really a case of toning it down....they don't want it mentioned period

Because people kept getting into big pissing matches over it.

The solution is to a) not get into the pissing matches and b) don't bring it up. While it's annoying because the mods/CLs have brought up MS before, two wrongs don't make a right. It's myfico's game and they can have whatever rules they want and enforcing rules is often double standardized on forums. There are plenty of forums to discuss MS/churning and the like, so why not post on those instead? It seems even though you have a huge post count on myfico it really isn't a great fit because you lean towards the "game the system" end of credit whereas some people on there are looking for a different approach/advice, and the mods frown on your approach. I'm not saying this to disrespect you but just something to consider. Perhaps you are simply spending too much time on there.

I spend a lot of time looking around this site and posting here, but some of the MF post numbers are astounding, even to me.

To be fair, I'd have to say that about several people - not just Nixon. But, yes, especially Nixon.
Love: IHG, Platinum, Sallie Mae, AA Plat, CSP
Like: Discover, ED, BCE, Hyatt, Arrival, Freedom
Might drop: BrooksBros, Prestige (Costco PC?)
Might add: Proper business card, CSR, Ritz, Delta Gold
Letting new accounts cool off since May
Really not sure what I'll add next or when

Actually it seems to be just fine of a fit on most fronts. Churning may not be encouraged but it's not really frowned upon there either.

I lean towards gaming the system because the system will game you every chance it gets..

I wonder how any of them "travel" as much as they say if they are spending 24/7 on a forum...

In the spirit of gardening/spring cleaning, what are some cards that people may have once wanted to app for that they are now ruling out? For myself, for the time being, at least...

I've ruled out Discover Miles. I use my It infrequently enough as it is. 3% cash back for one year isn't really so much better than 1.5 MRs/$.

I've ruled out the possibility of an Arrival+ past the first year, thus saving me from an additional annual fee. Most places I go do take Amex.

I'm close to ruling out the Ritz-Carlton. At first it looked good - I'd thought I'd be paying a high AF but then recouping a lot of it through travel credits. I've been doing more research, though, and the credits are less flexible than I first thought.

Never mind travelling...how about working? You post at all hours of the day.

I too ruled out a Discover. I have the freedom/CSP and don't see a need for another 5% or travel focused card. Though I would like one for the TU Fico. If I did the It Miles, I would SD the Freedom/CSP for the first year to take major advantage of the 2x bonus points.

Still undecided on the Double Cash. I like the convince of not thinking, but i feel like 2% isn't quite worth it for that. Maybe if they offered your choice of a category to add 1% total to I would jump.
Chase Freedom $9k~~Chase Sapphire Preferred $6.5k~~Amex Blue Cash Preferred $12.4k~~Citi Double Cash $4.7k

I've also lost my desire for a Cash+. Most of the remaining 5% categories are things I usually buy online. Discover or Chase shopping portals can probably offer comparable (or better) rewards.
