Do you get different Amex Offers for your different cards? I understand all offers don't go out to all cards, but didn't know the extent to which they differed. Do you notice a difference in the offers you get on PRG vs. BCE vs. EDP?

I'm still open to a Platinum if I get a nice targeted introductory bonus, but I'm also not holding my breath on that. If it did happen I don't see myself keeping the card long-term anyway.

The lousy offers (the ones that are really just ads) are available on seemingly every card. Those are "offers" for double MR points on websites where Discover might offer 20% cash back. The really good ones (like $20 off $20+) are harder to come by and seem a bit random. I'm exploring the various work-arounds (Facebook and Twitter) to make the good ones more readily available.
Wallet: Prestige CSP SchwabPlat Freedom It Hyatt SallieMae AAPlat
SD: Arrival BrooksBros BCE ED IHG
Letting new accounts cool off since May
Really not sure what I'll add next or when

Problem is if the offers were readily available they inevitably can't be as lucrative. Companies can't afford to just give out points/rewards willy nilly. That's why some promotions are targeted and/or hard to obtain.

Sure they can. It's like printing money. ;)

I've ruled out Discover Miles. I use my It infrequently enough as it is. 3% cash back for one year isn't really so much better than 1.5 MRs/$.

I've ruled out the possibility of an Arrival+ past the first year, thus saving me from an additional annual fee. Most places I go do take Amex.

I'm close to ruling out the Ritz-Carlton. At first it looked good - I'd thought I'd be paying a high AF but then recouping a lot of it through travel credits. I've been doing more research, though, and the credits are less flexible than I first thought.

Little late to the party on this one (logging back in after the forum change was NOT easy!) I've crossed off Discover, Anything Barclays and my original planned Synchrony cards (since Synch seems to hate me and the feeling is mutual!)
Current Cards: Chase Freedom, Discover IT
Future: TBD
