Graduation Day?

Postby OldMan » Wed Feb 18, 2015 5:43 am

I called Cap One this morning and canceled my secured card. I was recently approved for a City Double Cash card, ( and my annual fee was due) so this made the secured one obsolete. I feel like I've graduated in a way.

It doesn't seem like that long ago I was on here getting advice on how to start building credit. Now I'm enjoying rewards and have a decent score. I still kick myself for not having taken advantage of all the rewards in the past. I've lost out on a lot of money over the years.

Anyways, I wanted to give a shout out and thank everyone for all the great info they provide. So Thanks, and I look forward to continuing my education.
My Wallet:
Discover IT - $4000;
AMEX BCE $12000;
Citi Double Cash - $6600;
CHASE AARP Visa - $5000;
Banana Republic $1200;
NFM - $20,000;
Sears (Citi) MC - $6000;

You have great cards now and will appreciate credit and rewards far more than the average person. Don't worry about the past.

I still know so many people who have no credit or are terrified of credit cards because they don't know how to manage money and are too weak to control themselves.
