Apply before 2014. Citi axed 5 TYpts for new Forward applications at some time late 2013, though it may still be possible to get 5 point version at some branches. At around mid March 2014, they no longer accept new applications online, though it may still be possible to get it in branch until a while after that.

My Citi Forward was got in October 2012 and now it still has the 5 TYpts for dining and others. It's my go-to card for restaurants, apparently. Most of the time I bring this card when I go out, while only bringing one another card selected from my three other cards. Obviously it was my favorite card at the time I only have one card. It also has no foreign transaction fee (different from the general version), so it solves a lot of problem when traveling abroad, as I don't have to exchange cash and lose on the currency conversion rate.

I have used some points on Amazon at 0.8 cent per point, and now have 34k points remaining. Now I am more interested in Chase Ultimate Rewards, as one point worth at least 1 cent, unlike Citi ThankYou Rewards. However, had I got a ThankYou Premier card, the Forward would definitely be back to the most shiny card I have.
Citi Forward Visa $5000 10/2012 | American Express Blue Cash Everyday $8000 2/2014 | Discover it $7000 5/2014
Chase Freedom Visa Signature $7000 6/2014 | Citi ThankYou Premier Visa Signature $5000 1/2015
All EMV.

I just wanna thank you for bringing up the Ink Cash a while back here! I just discovered that I don't necessarily have to have business credit to qualify for the card so it's something I'll be applying in the future after all. It sounds like a fantastic card to me and has literally everything I could possibly want: Good rates, decent 0 intro offer and BT offer, no AF, lots of opportunities to earn a lot of cash back from it, and a TL that won't show up on my personal CR. That will probably be my last Chase card for quite a while since I don't wanna exceed my internal limit with them. They've really have become my favorite prime lender to do business with by far outside of Amex.

I'm using a BookBook case for my iPhone. I say minimalist since it has three slots for credit cards and a fourth for a license, plus a small area to put some folded up cash. So, I essentially combined two pockets worth of stuff (phone and wallet) into one.

There are internal limits within lenders? How do you know how much the internal limit is?

I think if I'm ever declined for something like that, they would say something like you have sufficient credit from us or I'd have to move part of a CL over to open the account.

Gotta go with CitiForward.

The grandfathered 5 ThankYou points for every $1 spent for restaurants, movies, bookstores (including Amazon), and music stores makes it my go-to card to quickly earns points. Constant APR reduction for on-time payments is nice, as are generous CLI's.

The biggest feature for me is Virtual Account Numbers.

In this day and age of compromised credit card numbers, it's a feature I use to pay one-off bills and set up short-term/dollar-limit card numbers for certain activities.

For example, I can set up a number for $300 that lasts for 3 months. Remember those old days where it was hard to break a gym lease? Not a problem. You can stop a number at any time. Works great as an alternative for PayPal/Ebay and FedEx/UPS shipping accounts, as well.

Second place has to go to Discover IT.

The Shop Discover portal gets extra cash back on Groupons (and other vendors) and their Q4 rewards trump Chase Freedom in that the 5% back works for Amazon + all online retailers (Chase restricts to Amazon for 5%). The cherry on top is getting my monthly FICO score.

Discover cancelled its Virtual Account numbers last year. If not for that, I'd probably have them at number one.
Merrick Bank (Hooters) 4100
Cap One Quicksilver 4800
Discover it 2500
Citi Forward 8000
Chase Freedom 1000
AMEX Blue Cash Everyday 5500
Citi Dividend 7000
Cap One Visa Platinum 750 (CLOSED)

I do agree this can be a great feature when doing payments on websites. Few creditors offer it nowadays; I hope Citi won't go after Discover.

However, I have not been using my Citi Forward for any card-not-present transactions for almost 5 months. Literally restaurants. Amazon is the major site I shop online, and have the card linked to my account to be able to use TYpts. When paying online at other merchants, I usually use Chase or Amex for better cash back/point value. When paying online bills, I use Chase/Amex for Comcast, and use Discover with Evolve Money for other utilities, so I can avoid fees charged by utility companies (actually their payment service providers).

While doing a lot of physical swipes, I am more concerned about data breaches in the physical stores nowadays.

I have only played with the VAN feature a few times, but never actually used it, or thought of it when paying online. Very good for you to mention it. It's hidden under "Account Management" instead of the credit card account detail page, and probably that's why I am pretty forgetting about the feature.

The ShopDiscover portal has been closed and merged to Discover Deals. Just FYI
You can find all the deals from ShopDiscover at Discover Deals now.

All EMV.
