My favorite card [was] my US Bank Cash+ because it was my meal card for groceries and restaurants.

I still have 5% cash back at movies and fast food now + 2% at restaurants, so it has now become my 'date' card.

I just got an AMEX Blue Cash that replaces the grocery category for 3% now.

My card staple is humble, and the AMEX Blue Cash that I was really excited to get, @otter has in his 'sock drawer collecting cobwebs'...

So please tell us what is your favorite card and why so that I have something to look forward to...

Thanks.

My fave is the AMEXbce, I use this card the most. AMEX has been very good to me and the cash back is just great. I am looking to upgrade it to the Blue Cash Preferred. My second favorite (well the one that is getting a lot of use) is the Hawaiian Airlines WEMC.-some merchants here give 3x-5x points so I guess it's not too bad.

@pac4toon, Thanks for the response. I am going to upgrade to the BCP after this year, too. How do you like your Sapphire Preferred and is the AF worth it?

I'm going to date myself here: My favorite card is the Citi Forward. It's still got the original 5 TYP for restaurants/fast food, movie theaters, book stores. I'd accumulated 70,000+ points over the years and never used them. Over the past few months, though, I've spent most of the balance using the new Select and Credit feature (use TYP as statement credits).
Citi Forward ($10.1K), AmEx Blue Cash Everyday ($30K), Chase Freedom ($12.4K), Discover it ($5.5K), Barclaycard Arrival ($12.5K), L.L. Bean Visa ($5K). FICO 806 (TU), 812 (EQ), 806 (EX).

I have several favorite cards, depending on circumstance.

Overall, I'd say my BCP for the 6% on grocery store purchases (including a pile of gift cards I buy at Christmas) and 3% on fuel purchases (we spent over $11,000 on fuel last year - traveling full-time in an RV).

I'll pull out the Freedom occasionally if the 5% categories benefit me, otherwise it gets sock-drawered.

I left my Chase Amazon card on file with Amazon.com for the 3% back on Amazon purchases. Plus, the bonus points can easily be used to offset part or all of a purchase's price without me having to muck around with transferring or cashing in points via Chase's website.

My CSP is my favorite as far as handing it to someone to run for a purchase. It just feels nice to hold and looks pretty cool. Right now I'm using the heck out of it to get the initial $4k spend for the bonus points. Also, it is ideal since I rent cars often (instead of owning a second vehicle) and the CSP now offers primary insurance coverage for rental cars.

Given my particular spending patterns and the fact I recently switched to a more minimalist wallet with only three slots available for cards, I'll probably end up with the CSP, the BCP and my debit card taking up the three slots on a normal basis. The debit card will probably get swapped in and out depending on circumstances (i.e. the Delta Gold card when flying, etc.).
AmEx - Platinum (NPSL) , Blue Cash Preferred ($19,000), Gold Delta Skymiles ($8,500)
Chase - Sapphire Preferred ($14,000), Disney ($11,500), Amazon.com ($9,000), Freedom ($8,000)
CapOne - QuickSilver ($7,250) / Platinum Rewards ($7,250)

@solomon,

My AF for the CSP is $95 so I guess it's not too bad. It was my main card couple years ago but I believe they made some changes on the points (I don't remember exactly what tho) so I haven't been using it. I also used it because it doesn't have a FTF, but my WEMC offers that as well. The ooh ahh of having a "metal" card fizzled. hahaha So, I may either cancel it or just downgrade it to the regular Sapphire.

You mentioned you switched to a more minimalist wallet. Which one are you using? I am currently using the "Crabby Wallet" http://www.crabbygear.com but I am looking for something else as the crabby wallet is too casual.

I do love my no-fee Arrival. I know there are probably better ways to squeeze rewards out of my spend, but I like that I don't even have to think about it. Double points on dining and travel, and I usually have enough to redeem for something cool every six months or so. I just got a statement credit for rail passes.
Cards:

-Capital One Quicksilver
-Barclaycard Arrival (no AF)
- US Bank (no rewards)
-IHG

How do you get the Citi Forward without converting?

@Xorand Cool, I think eventually I am going to PC from a BCE to a BCP as long as I get the hang of earning enough to exceed the break even point at $75.00 AF.

I understand the gift cards thing, but I just doubt that I'll do that because I prefer cash.
