I have not purchased travel through Costco, though, so there may be offers there I'm not familiar with. That 2% on Costco travel might be like the 3% on Costco gas - only the TrueEarnings Amex gives the bonus - any other Amex network card would treat it as a general warehouse purchase.

Oh, I don't have any doubt that the no-AF arrival is a top travel card. But then, the redemption is limited to travel purchases only. And if you are looking for discounts, pick up a few movie ticket sets or restaurants at Costco with your annual cashback check - those are at an at least 20% discount from face value. :-)

I am going to see if Citi nerfs Forward. Not much needed to say, there have been contradicting responses given by their CSRs about the fate of this card. Some say there is no plan about changes, while some others claim the card are set to convert to ThankYou Preferred. It has been a while since they stop new application for the card, I wonder they would do anything within some months from now.
Citi Forward Visa $5000 10/2012 | American Express Blue Cash Everyday $8000 2/2014 | Discover it $7000 5/2014
Chase Freedom Visa Signature $7000 6/2014 | Citi ThankYou Premier Visa Signature $5000 1/2015
All EMV.

Does anyone know, or have an educated guess about, what swipe fees Costco pays to Amex? Costco could probably negotiate a fairly good deal.

myfico will have an even bigger card craze than OCCU/NASA/Diners Club combined. Someone (credit union, non-profit, etc) will come out with a card with very liberal underwriting (ie. "fixmycredit" will even get 5 digit CL) and myfico will go absolutely bonkers with everyone there leaving the garden en masse.

Well one prophecy hath come true as the trumpet soundeth and the mindless fico masses run out of the garden and head for the BBVA Compass NBA card...

I don't understand the craze since the card has a $50 AF. I was tempted until I saw that.
Discover IT - $5,700
Chase Freedom - $5,700
Costco Citi - $13,000
Sallie Mae - $4,000
Chase Sapphire Preferred - $6,000
Chase Sapphire Reserve - $19,500
Citi Double Cash - $6,500
Amex BCE - $13,000

FICOs: Discover (777), SallieMae (764), Amex (767), Citi (772)
FAKOs: CK- TU (760), EQ (760)

You liked the idea of a high CL? A low APR?

Our cards are pretty similar (at least as far as products and CLs - I don't know your APRs). I wouldn't want the card even without an AF.

Hehehe!

Who knows, maybe he doesn't want to waste his Marriott points at Motel Super 8.

So BT's a JW...that explains a lot.

AMEX is doing something different. Saying Buh-bye to Costco and it seems like, also backdated reporting.

Neither really affects me; but already dozens of pages on MF.

And yes, MF has found its FOTM, the NBA card. Dunno how it's alluring unless maybe you're a big fan.
AMEX BCE | PRG || Barclaycard Sallie Mae || Capital One QuickSilver | Venture || Chase Freedom | Sapphire Preferred || Citi Dividend || Discover It || UFCU Great Rate || US Bank Cash+ #1 | Cash+ #2 | Club Carlson Plat | REI || Total CL $144.2k + PRG NPSL, not counting AU
