January 2015 Garden Club/Garden Cult Thread

Postby popamode72 » Wed Dec 31, 2014 8:16 pm

Happy New Year, everyone! Since 09Lexie decided to start up the Garden Club thread over MF a few hours early, I figure that this site should follow suit with its own.

Come around and don't forget the Kool-Aid and snacks. Shopping cart trick approvals for store cards are highly welcome here. They don't count no matter what the effect the new account will have on your AAoA and if you ever wanna consolidate a CL with the likes of Bank of America, that will cost you a HP so it's automatically a necessary evil that will make you start all over again as a seedling. That's the gardening way of life.

For some of us, gardening for a while can be quite beneficial for letting accounts age among other things while for a select few, it's an obsessive kind of behavior and extreme fetish that is ripe for poking fun at. Take your pick.

Now if only Membersince99 could come back because this site just isn't the same without him. That's one thing I wish could happen this year and likely to happen anyway.

And let me quote the esteemed 09:

Now, if you happen to leave the garden prematurely, that’s your decision and we respect that. You are always welcome to come back, pick up your gardening tools and start over again.

But it must be emphasized that if you leave the garden, you will have to pay the dues all over again and there, of course, will be punishment for leaving the garden. In short, we must make an example so others will see they should not leave our cult.

Don't forget the Friday night social/indoctrination sessions whose attendance is optional (of course, if you do not attend- there may be hazing by some of our more zealous gardeners).

As for me, I'm stuck in the garden until September '15, so I will be watching all of our cult members for compliance. :beat:

lol saw he's applied for too many cards to get to sleep. What's his longest time of gardening? Two weeks?

Happy New Year! Not sure if it's time for me to leave the garden. An Amex might be good for getting backdated now, but I am afraid for being punished for that! Hail to the Great 09.

The only credit I plan on applying for is MAYBE a new car later this year. I have a 2013 Jetta GLI that I'm getting itchy to trade. (I love the car, but, I just can't seem to keep a car longer than 2 years. Three years max.) I hope Member makes an appearance in 2015.

Still gardening since late November. Average FICO score has climbed 13 points since. Shooting to see if I can get one or more into the 800's. No credit needs coming up in the forseeable future.
