Noise is noise regardless of which side everyone is on and where MyFICO has the pro MyFICO drama, here is soon to be the same... except instead of pro, it has the anti MyFICO drama.

We have a bunch of great people here - including all of you - who know what they're talking about; we don't need to dilute this sharing of information by constantly dragging in the dramatics of another forum.

Thanks and thanks for listening.

Very understandable. I apologize if any of my posts here have annoyed you in that way and it just seemed like a common thing to do around here, even after Member left the site. I certainly miss the guy a lot and even though he got angry at some really inconsequential stuff, he still had a lot of interesting things to say and I liked his viewpoints on a lot of issues credit card related.

With that said, most of the MyFico banter happens on this thread and not really anywhere else from what I can tell though.

I'm out of the garden again. I have some off-category spending coming up, as well as some things I can get through the UR portal, and decided to pick up a CSP. I got a 7.5k CL.

Did you get the $95 AF? I've seen posts that they have been testing out some higher AFs.

I might as well have to get a ThankYou Premier card to have all the points on Citi Forward transferred. The TY Premier do have upcoming changes in fee and rewards structures since this April so the annual fee will be reduced to $95, comparable to CSP. Travel and gas stations will give 3x TYpts, while dining and entertainment will give 2x TYpts. This could be a good change for those who have old Citi Forward, as it's basically an addition of 3x points on travel.

On the other hand, a CSP would be of use to me to have the Freedom points transferred - just don't have any airline to transfer to yet. Also the ThankYou Premier will have 3x points for travel, while CSP only gives 2x. Dealing with Citi could be a pain compared to Chase, though.
Citi Forward Visa $5000 10/2012 | American Express Blue Cash Everyday $8000 2/2014 | Discover it $7000 5/2014
Chase Freedom Visa Signature $7000 6/2014 | Citi ThankYou Premier Visa Signature $5000 1/2015
All EMV.

They had done this several times prior to the most recent "test". Furthermore, the annual fee shown on their website is $95 currently.

I just looked and when I brought up the website it did say $95. I was under the impression that some people would see the normal $95 but others could go at the same time as see like two higher tiers.

I am not sure how this works, but it would be really weird if there are just a few customers out there paying a higher AF.

$95, waived the first year, usual 40k point bonus for $4k spending (the new normal) in 3 months. Of course, I wouldn't be surprised if the AF was raised later for me (or for every cardholder).

I also requested expedited shipping (free), so we'll see how that goes.

I did remove myself from the opt-out prescreen program recently as I expected to get one card or another. No mailed offers of interest, though. I had checked the Chase pre-qualified link and saw CSP and Slate.

I know, it's a soft pull since it was immediately granted, but I applied for my first CLI through AmEx. Used the website to request my BCP be raised from $10,500 to $16,000 and it was available immediately. Thought it might help since I had to put a $7,500 dental bill on the card today and wanted to lower the utilization percentage.

Though I have always PIF for the last two years, I might be forced to roll the balance two or three months so I can earn the extra cash to pay it back down to $0.

Still on the credit wagon, though.
AmEx - Platinum (NPSL) , Blue Cash Preferred ($19,000), Gold Delta Skymiles ($8,500)
Chase - Sapphire Preferred ($14,000), Disney ($11,500), Amazon.com ($9,000), Freedom ($8,000)
CapOne - QuickSilver ($7,250) / Platinum Rewards ($7,250)

I still haven't called to request a CLI for my BCE. I just use it so rarely. My total spending on the card in 5 months is about $1,300 for a $6k limit.

I will use it to buy small stuff, and it shall be the sacred vessel to carry my ShopRunner membership, if and when my PRG departs from this life.
