Dug up this thread to say ... I finally got a 10k limit. On a Capital One Quicksilver. Based on the info I found on this forum, I figured they'd probably be the most generous with me. I basically needed a big limit for some big joint purchases I'm collaborating on with my mom (who I will make an authorized user). Most of those purchases don't match the usual bonus categories, so a flat cash-back return will work best.

Hopefully this will boost my mom's credit, too, since she hasn't had a card in years.
Cards:

-Capital One Quicksilver
-Barclaycard Arrival (no AF)
- US Bank (no rewards)
-IHG

oooo I'm curious about your Barclay experience, did you do it over website link or phone? How long have you had it and what was it before? Thanks!

I had Lowes at one point and I got that thing up to $17k. I still have mixed feelings about closing it at the time but I think my portfolio of cards either way is doing pretty well.

Haven't had a CC beyond $10k since but I think Care Credit, Sams Club (the $8k store version I still have) and my Amazon Prime Store card have the potential to get there. Amex too but I'm not really using my Amex cards as much now. I think I'd need at least a few more grand there and then in June I can start moving CLs around and consolidating.

I could also move $4k from the Ritz card over to my CSP and $1k from my AARP if I wanted a $10k limit card that way too but I'm gonna save that for when my CSP is a bit older. Do you think I should consider doing it sooner though? I'm not really using Ritz right now and AARP is seeing a little bit less usage now too but I'm not planning to close them any time soon.
Macy's TLs (21k), Lowes (17k), CSP (10k), Sam's Club (10k), Nordstrom (5k), AARP (4.2k), Freedom (3k), Discover (1.5k), Quicksilver (2k), BoA (3k), Barclaycard Arrival (2.5k), Amazon Store (6k), Paypal (4.9k), Sam's Club MC (3.6k), Walmart MC (1.2k)
