CC To Use With Craigslist Purchase

Postby darkguy2 » Mon Dec 15, 2014 11:46 pm

Well, I found a good deal on a PS4 bundle on Craigslist. The only problem is that the guy is out of town for the holiday and he wants to ship it. I know that this sounds like a scam so I asked for more proof. I had him take a picture of all the items with the PS4 working and a piece of paper with his info and today's date on it. That came back good.

So now he wants to do the transaction through paypal. This is good, but I made sure to tell him that he needs to send an itemized invoice through paypal that lists all the items and their condition.

So my question is what card would be best to use to give me more protection. I was thinking my CSP since it has such good customer service, but I could put it on my Freedom which has 0% still on it. Has CSP CS been known to go to bat for their card members?

Dude, it's a scam. Use whichever card you think is best suited for buying a box of bricks.

I'm not too worried. As long as he sends me a invoice through PayPal I am covered under their buyer's protection. If I do get bricks I will get my money back. PayPal is very anti-seller when it comes to purchase disputes.
