I think they should make Alvon123 a mod... skip the community leader BS, just make him a mod. His thoughtful commentary is worthy of the rank.

Lol...I don't usually mind her. I just think she takes that garden thread too seriously.

These types of threads and the approval threads for SCT Junk cards are possibly the most grating thing about MyFICO.

Toy limit, junk card hell. I actually feel kinda bad for that person. I actually remember when I had crap like that in my portfolio, like 300 dollar limit Target and Old Navy cards and even a Fingerhut account at one point. I was so happy to ditch all of those things and move on.

And I think this is by far one of the saddest things I've ever read over at that website. Unbelievable.

I'll admit, I was fortunate to have an AMEX with a decent CL while my credit was in the dumps, but seriously, going for SCT's you're never going to use just to get approvals and then complaining they won't report when you haven't used them. That's pretty sad.

But yes, that other thread...heh..

The only thing sad is the amount of losers/trolls that forum has. It's like never ending waves of spam and that forum feeds off of it.

It is a disgrace to FICO, but it seems they embrace it.

Might be a noob question, but what does SCT stand for?
That guy is terribly informed on how credit works. Why open multiple cards with toy limits and not use them just for reporting purposes?

I always believed that forum was full of trolls. I'm surprised they haven't made a rule to prevent stupid threads from being posted such as the link popamode72 posted.

I couldn't agree more.

Like babies and small children. Unfortunately, I see some new members bringing that immature mentality over here recently.

sct= shopping cart trick. Basically, you go to a website whose credit card is issued through comenity bank (although I've heard there are a few non-comenity shopping cart tricks), order some stuff without buying and then once you're at the last page, a pop-up will appear offering you a card. You enter only the last 4 of your ssn and it approves you without a soft pull.
In my Wallet:
  • Amex PRG NPSL[3-14, bd 91]
  • Sallie Mae MC $8000[1-14]
  • Chase Freedom $4700[1-14]
  • Discover It $2750[8-13]
  • BoA UCF Alumni Cash Rewards $5000 [3-15]
Sometimes in my Wallet:
  • GM BuyPower WEMC $5000[9-14]
  • Wells Fargo Propel 365 Amex $7000[4-14]
  • Barclaycard Arrival WEMC $7000[3-14]
  • BoA Better Balance $3000[2-15]
In my sockdrawer: Amex BCE $1000[10-13, bd 91], OCCU Duck $10000 [11-13], The Sportsman's Guide Visa $8000[8-14], Chase Slate $4000 [9-14]Delta Gold Amex $2000 [2-15 bd 91], Diners Club MC $20000 [10-14] Commerce Bank Visa $2000 [3-15] Citi Double Cash $1000 [3-15]
Total CL: $90450
