I might get a CSP in 2015, so maybe they can throw in a Freedom CLI then.

There are already a few inquiries that I expect to take in the next year or so - and adding another just for a Freedom CLI doesn't seem worth it. I do have high utilization report on that sometimes (30% last month), so I'd especially welcome an auto CLI on that one.

That 30% may have played some role in my getting the lower-tier Brooks Bros card - though it wasn't a factor listed on the letter. The BB letter from Synchrony focused on my short history and lack of installment history. Inquiries or new credit were not mentioned, as far as I recall.

I've heard of people who have gotten SP CLI offers by contacting Chase through the secured message sometimes.

I can't be the only one here who is sick of all the SCT approval threads on MF and subsequent canned "congrats" posts.

That's incredible. And you made lots of posts in two months over there. I guess you really really liked the community at first.

Seriously though, those threads get really tiring to read after a while, especially ones with the stock congrats from certain people and oh boy, especially those SCT trick threads. I can't even go over there without seeing a billion threads about Overstock or some Comenity card I don't care about like the Saturday Night Live card.

About a month after I got banned at FICO, I was in a hotel room on a business trip and decided to start a new ID and troll over there. Comenity had just taken over the Virgin America account, so I thought a Virgin SCT trick was what the world needs...

I kind of hoped I would create the newest fico buzz, but unfortunately didn't get much attention (except from Alvon and a few of the other congrats bots). Still, I'm sure there were some people over there who tried for weeks to get that pop-up window on the VA website.
In my Wallet:

  • BoA UCF Alumni Cash Rewards $5000 [3-15]
Sometimes in my Wallet:

  • Wells Fargo Propel 365 Amex $7000[4-14]
  • Barclaycard Arrival WEMC $7000[3-14]
  • BoA Better Balance $3000[2-15]
In my sockdrawer: Amex BCE $1000[10-13, bd 91], OCCU Duck $10000 [11-13], The Sportsman's Guide Visa $8000[8-14], Chase Slate $4000 [9-14]Delta Gold Amex $2000 [2-15 bd 91], Diners Club MC $20000 [10-14] Commerce Bank Visa $2000 [3-15] Citi Double Cash $1000 [3-15]
Total CL: $90450

Yeah. As flawed as MF can be, I've met a lot of interesting people there. There are several who do know what they're talking about and it would be cool if there were more people like them there. I sure post there more than I do with Credit Boards still, though I have nothing against that place either. Just that MF is where I got started and really learned a lot of this stuff to begin with so I feel like I've established myself more there.

Just about the same here. I had a couple cards but apped several this year. It's actually a bit exhilarating clicking the button and seeing an instant approval appear on the screen, especially when I spent so many years dreading having to try to get a car loan or borrow money for other purposes.

Anyone have news?

I've only been in the garden for about two weeks. My AAoA is back under 6 months, but it's more resilient now with 6 cards, total. No apps planned for the rest of 2014, although an ED or EDP is likely for January 2015.

I'll have some absinthe please...and some 'ludes...

I've been gardening for the last 2 months. I just opened a Capital One 360 checking and savings accounts just for the $200 signup bonus, but I entered the wrong checking account for the funding deposit, so I called and was pleasantly surprised at how their CS was. They fixed the problem and said they would honor the offer.

I also started using EvolveMoney to pay bills using my Discover It. We'll see how that goes.

I'm seriously considering closing my BankAmericard Cash Rewards. Originally it was intended to be a backup for my Sallie Mae, but I've found that 1) SM's $250 monthly cap is enough for me and 2) the 2% on groceries is so puny I'd rather put those purchases on my BCP, which after all has an AF, or on my It too see if hopefully I get a CLI or something. I really can't figure out what to use this card for.
