Balance Transfer

Postby tvirk888 » Fri Nov 07, 2014 1:58 pm

Can I do a balance transfer from one Chase card to another? If not, can I do a balance transfer to Amex BCE and then transfer to the CSP?
Amex BCE - $20K (11/2014)
Amex Everyday - $20K (04/2015)
Amex Business Gold - NPSL (09/2013)
Bank Of America Cash Rewards - $5K (11/2014)
Chase Freedom - $11,700 (10/2013)
Chase Sapphire Preferred - $18K (11/2014)
Citi Thank You Preferred - $10K (11/2014)
U.S. Bank Cash+ - $5K (03/2015)
Wells Fargo Platinum Rewards - $4700 (05/2009)

No on the first one.
Yes on the second one. But you'll pay two BT fees.

Do you have a CapitalOne you could BT to for a few days?

Do you have a 0% offer on the CSP?

If not why not just keep it on the BCE? :)

No. They will not process any requests of such.

I doubt how you get the 0% Balance Transfer fee for BCE. My cardmember agreement says 3%.

In addition, CSP has no promotional period for balance transfer, making it not an ideal card to do so unless you are currently paying higher interest on another card.

As Nixon said, it may be better off just transfer into BCE, presumably you are on 0% promotional.
Citi Forward Visa $5000 10/2012 | American Express Blue Cash Everyday $8000 2/2014 | Discover it $7000 5/2014
Chase Freedom Visa Signature $7000 6/2014 | Citi ThankYou Premier Visa Signature $5000 1/2015
All EMV.

I have the promotional 0% BT Fee on the BCE. Most merchants don't take AMEX, so I need one VISA card to go with my Gold card.

Amex Everyday - $20K (04/2015)
Amex Business Gold - NPSL (09/2013)

Like who? I thought this stopped years and years ago. I've never seen anyone who won't take them anymore.

A lot of merchant's don't accept AMEX because of higher rates, or they don't want to take AMEX.
