Best card for me

Postby Danron » Tue Sep 30, 2014 11:15 am

I am looking for the best all around card. I currently have excellent 750+ credit and no other active credit cards. I prefer cash back rewards and have been looking at US Bank Cash + Visa Signature and Chase Freedom. Are there any perks to Discover or AMEX that I am missing because their cards seem to be lack luster?

Thanks for the advice and help

You need to provide a lot more information about what you're looking for. Best isn't about the card but about how the card suits you. AmEx has a lot of different cards. You need to give us your criteria to narrow it down.

Lackluster? Boy I think there is a long learning curve ahead here.

Just do a search on credit card cash back rewards you'll learn all that we could tell you and save us writing a thesis when this stuff has already been hashed to death anyway. You can search here and on Google and find enough to keep you reading quite a while.

No one is curious about how to get "excellent 750+ credit" without having a credit card?

Well, OP said no "other". Perhaps they forgot to mention one they are currently using. Either way, it is worded funny.

US Bank, I hear, likes to see a pretty well-developed credit history that includes at least a year with a few different cards to get the Cash+. A high FICO on a thin credit file (if that is the case?) might not help much.

Limited value, might close: Arrival

Might add: First Tech, proper business card

Yeah I dont get how Discover and Amex are lackluster.
American Express Blue Cash Preferred $16,000
Platinum Delta Skymiles $12,900
Marriott Rewards Premier $12,000
Discover IT $12,000
USAA Cash Rewards $11,000
Chase Sapphire Preferred $6,500
Chase Freedom $4,500
