Bank of America charged me for late payment, even though I set up autopay

Most don't report, but they CAN report less than 30 days late. That symbol which says "30 days" on your report actually means 1-30 days late. See here for confirmation including a quote from someone with Fair Isaac.

If I had to make a guess, my guess would be her "real" name isn't Lisa Williams. I've actually seen dudes use fake girls names and even dogs names.

It's pretty much a big joke. Yeah let's offshore everything related to customer "service" so the CEO can get a lavish bonus and to hell with the customers, and then let's tell them that they have autopay set up but conveniently forget to mention it won't kick in for 2 months so we can play the fee "gotcha" game for some more revenue. That's the wonderful world of banking, if you throw in getting massive bailouts on the taxpayer while moaning about deadbeats.
