I really underestimated the secured BOA card back in December when I (foolishly and ignorantly, before I had found either this site or MyFico) tried getting the BOA Student Cash Rewards card and got the offer for the secured card instead. Can't remember the exact details but it's amazing how generous they seem to be with this card in particular. Had I known that, I would have happily just gotten this one instead of the WF college card.

The gas rewards are great, and the grocery rewards weren't bad either when I used it for that (had only one card for the first 6 months I had credit). I could have probably ended up with something unsecured, but since the rewards were so good, I don't mind. A nice bonus was getting an extra 10% back on gas when redeeming to a BoA checking account.

On CapOne, I feel fortunate that I didn't end up getting one of their cards with the annual fee and I can certainly see why a lot of people look down on them.
